Beware of Unsatisfactory $300 InstallationTampa TreemartI Purchased a 30 gallon double trunk foxtail fern. Great looking. Paid $150 delivery fee and a $300 installation fee. I had informed the person I bought it from that it was going into ground that had recently had a large oak tree which was taken down , lots of roots.Imagine my surprise when one man with a shovel arrived with the tree. I asked about an auger or machine to dig the hole. He informed me that Florida didn’t allow machines. He dug and dug and found lots of roots. Finally he dug a shallow hole that about 2/3 of the rootball would cram into. That left 1/3 of the rootball sticking out of the ground. He then proceeded to form a dirt wall about 2ft high around the tree. I had topsoil on hand and he used about 6 bags to fill the circular wall. He assured me it would be fine I had always thought you plant a tree in a hole twice the size of the rootball. Two days later I called and expressed my concerns about the stability and chance of survival in of the Tree. My concerns were basically dismissed by the salesperson. I was told the owner would be informed within a couple of days. ( It was a weekend).I reached out again the next week and was told by the owner “the tree is installed to the best of our ability and should be fine.” There is no guarantee with this tree. If it blows over or dies it’s on me. I asked for a support and was told they don’t usually put supports on palm trees. I would think that would be because they are in the ground. If I insisted on a support that would be an extra charge of $100 plus the cost of more topsoil. Evidently not included in the installation fee.My bad- I made assumptions about installation that were not met:The hole would be deeper and wider than the rootball. The workers would be prepared for a ground with many roots ( a pickax might have helped)The tree would be given the best chance of survival by proper installation.Be aware and cautious before paying for installation. I paid cash so unable to even dispute the charge. Lesson learned.Beautiful market , wonderful plants, nice man with the shovel but customer service is not satisfactory.

I have driven past this shop 100 times and finally got fed up with the garbage service/selection at the box stores....wow have I been missing out. Treemart had quality products that the other stores could only pray for while having customer service that the large stores have forgotten. All of that with better pricing. I am a actually mad at myself for having not been to Treemart before today, this won't be my last trip. Thank you.

Just "had a feeling" that I needed to go there as I drove by Sunday morning, and I could not have been more right. They had a HUGE selection of plants, shrubs and trees, and the staff was super helpful. Three purple hibiscus later, and I've got a new nursery that's worth the drive from Brandon.

I had a fantastic experience at Tree Mart on North Land O’ Lakes Boulevard! Pete and Nikki were both incredibly helpful. They not only helped me find the plants I came in looking for, but also introduced me to a few I didn’t even know I needed!Their prices are very reasonable, and they have an amazing selection of plants, trees, shrubs, and just about everything you could need for your landscaping project. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wants to help you find the right plants for your yard.I would 100% recommend Tree Mart to anyone looking for quality plants, great prices, and outstanding customer service. I’ll definitely be back!
