Purchased a new home and the closet wash space forced us to purchase a stacked washer and dryer unit. Immediately after the installation the dryer started throwing error codes for air blockage. After some trouble shooting and due to the fact the dryer vent is on the roof, we decided to hire a vent cleaning company. Without mentioning names the first vendor we hired was an absolute joke. They broke the eight dollar cover on my exterior bathroom vent thinking it was the dryer vent cover, which they failed to inform my wife about or attempt to replace. Went through the motions of cleaning and reported to my wife he had done a very thorough job and years of accumulated lint had been removed. With the problem apparently solved we resumed doing laundry which had been piling up. Nope, same problem. We consider it could be our brand new overly priced dryer but after asking my wife about what the technician had actually done we realized he had never gone up on the roof to actually look at the vent outlet. So instead of returning to the previous vendor we decided to contact Dryer Vent Heroes. They immediately began investigating the problem and pulled out what looks like a dead squirrel for the roof vent!! Further investigating revealed corrosion and leakage in the existing vent and it needed to be replaced. The problem was solved and so was a future problem from the leaking vent.
