Whole Home Remodel – Professional, Honest, and Committed from Start to FinishWe hired Sunshine State Professional Services for a complete whole-home remodel — truly a soup-to-nuts transformation with a ‘Lot’ of custom woodwork and specialty painting — and the experience, while long and at times challenging (as major remodels often are), was ultimately outstanding.One of the biggest hurdles we faced was an unexpected county permitting delay that could have cost us significantly in both time and money. Sunshine State stayed committed throughout that process, never backing away from the job despite the large delay. Their professionalism and resolve to see it through made all the difference.From the moment we explained our vision, they took the lead on every aspect — design, permits, materials, finishes, inspections. We were minimally involved by choice, and they ensured everything stayed aligned with what we wanted. It was an incredibly efficient way to get through such a major renovation.Even when we hit a bump due to a mistake that was overlooked by both sides, they handled the rework fairly and with integrity. No finger-pointing — just honest, straightforward problem-solving. That honesty earned a lot of trust.If there’s one area where we saw room for improvement, it was with a few of the subcontractors. There were occasional no-shows or changes mid-stream that required adjusting plans or pulling in new crews. Fatigue does set in when you’re eagerly waiting to move back into your finished home. That said, I can’t say which of those scheduling issues were within Sunshine State’s control. What I can say is that they remained responsive, communicative, and respectful throughout — even when the answer was simply, “We’re sorry.” We never felt ignored or left wondering.In the end, Sunshine State delivered a beautiful home with craftsmanship, transparency, and professionalism. We’re grateful we chose them — and we’ll be using them again later this year for an ADU remodel/addition that will serve as a pool house and mother-in-law suite.Highly recommend! Less

Sunshine State exceeded my expectations. Took a little longer than I wanted but the end result was worth the wait. I’m quite the perfectionist with design and how I wanted things to be done but John and his team took every challenging goal head on and made it happen while giving advice on why some things shouldn’t be done or a better way to do them along the way. From my custom wood doors and going through numerous stain options to make sure I got the perfect color, to my tedious organic clay shower tile, or the number of times I changed my mind on things, they were always patient and made it look exactly how I imagined it. I really enjoyed working with this company. Every worker sent was kind, respectful and trustworthy. John truly cares and takes pride in his work and has a great eye for design. My wife and I contracted this company for an ADU style addition and a renovation of our main home. It was a complete disaster from the beginning. It took 3 times as long to finish the project because they had to keep redoing the job due to poor quality. Now we are having to deal with the repairing of the work they did. Our driveway which was poured just 1 year earlier was ruined by them and we now have to replace it again. I have pictures of the before and after,. Additionally, the drainage to the addition was not addressed so now we have a flood after the rain, our seawall collapsed just 3 months after they finished. We have to now rip up the deck, redo the drainage and replace the hole in the seawall. Not saying they are not nice people, but they do not have competent staff. Now we need to get two huge repairs done that were not broken before they started working on our home. In addition to that, the quality of the interior work is subpar. We just needed them to stop coming after more than a year for what was to be 90-120 days of construction. Not permitting time. Less
