My experience with this firm is horrendous. I am not actually a resident of Bridlington, but my parents were and they used this branch of Pinkney and Grunwells to do their Wills and so Probate follows. My Step-father passed away last December and Ms Hayley Garnett & co have not even started his probate yet, they were concentrating more on stopping me from gaining access to my parents house and threatening me with court action with regards to 'intermeddling' in my own parents affairs, having no respect for my Mothers severe dementia. Three days after my mother passed away Hayley Garnett did actually take me to court on another matter with regards to my Mothers probate and on that day the Judge stated to Ms Hayley Garnet that she did not seem to understand the basic principles of probate law and threw the case out in a matter of minutes. Costs of £4200 were awarded to my side. I am actually in the process of having Pinkney and Grunwells renounce their Executorship of my mothers Will in favour of a competent firm of solicitors but signing the renouncement documents seems to be beyond Pinkney and Grunwell's abilities as they were sent over two months ago and only need to be signed by the partners of the firm, one being Ms Garnett. If ever you put in a written complaint to this firm, their standard reply is to state that as you are not actually a client of the firm they don't need to investigate or comment. I cannot understand these glowing reviews for Ms Hayley Garnett, who I found not only to be very arrogant and disrespectful, not only within her emails but also in person and as was proved in court, very incompetent in certain aspects concerning basic laws governing Wills and Probate.
