Ty is very good at understanding what I need to learn and presenting it in a way that’s easier for me to comprehend. Have gone to a few other teachers in my life, and Ty has exceeded my expectations.
Tyler is a great guy and wonderful guitar teacher. I have been taking guitar lessons with Tyler for the last month and lessons are always fun and I look forward to my lessons.
Ty’s personalized attention and clear directives have sped up my learning curve. The student jam sessions alone keep me engaged and willing to play more.

Lessons with Ty were amazing! A great teacher who helped you play what you wanted to play. He was very friendly and willing to teach you anything you wanted to learn on guitar. Coming into the lessons as a beginner I saw substantial progress over my first 3 months! Ty was always responsive and an awesome guy to take lessons from. Highly recommend!
I had a lot of fun taking lessons with Ty. He’s really motivated to help me get better. I’ve been able really improve my technique a lot. It makes playing much more enjoyable.
My daughter started guitar lessons with Ty a couple months ago. She has really enjoyed his lessons! She loves that she gets to learn songs she hears on the radio. I’ve seen quite a bit of improvement in a short time!
Ty is a versatile and compassionate teacher, who seems to instinctively know when and how much to push his students. He is methodical or improvisational depending on what is needed for the given student. It is a rare teacher that tailors his approach to match his students learning style. He is methodical or improvisational depending on what is needed for the given student. It is a rare teacher that tailors his approach to match his students learning style. This approach fosters an environment in which the most lackluster student (me at times) finds him/herself becoming invested in their own progress. This is the passion that Ty brings to his sessions. It rubs off on others. I have truly looked forward to each lesson, but what's more... One day I looked up and realized I was a better guitarist. Less
Worked with Ty for years now and I am very happy to have met him! Friendly, patient, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. All the attributes you want to see in a teacher!
I'm a mostly self-taught older amateur player (mid-40s) and have made more progress working with Ty over the past six months than literally years of books and YouTube videos. Tyler really tailors lessons to what *you* want to learn, but also gives you just enough new material to keep it challenging and exciting. If you're looking for a professional guitar instructor in/around Omaha, give him a ... More

My daughter has been with Ty Keller for 2 years now and he has been a great teacher and a great influence on her. He interacts with his students individually and tries very hard to understand their perspectives. He pays attention to detail, progresses students at a reasonable pace, and genuinely cares about people. I would not take her anywhere else. There is only one 1-star review and it was obviously written by an angry person who cannot act his age. His use of offensive words and personal attacks just goes to show how low a person can go. Ty has never used pressure tactics and has a very fair price – especially since he caters to each person individually. In fact, I have flagged his review to Google since it was more personal than it was constructive. My daughter has gone from never picking up a guitar to recording a 5-song EP because of Ty’s great leadership and education. I would highly recommend him to anybody. Less
Ty is really friendly teacher. He is easy to get along with and extraordinary at teaching. He has taught me so many new skills that have greatly improved my playing. I would definitely recommend him as a guitar teacher.
Ty is my guitar teacher and he’s super positive and friendly. He thought me to write songs, he thought me theory, chords etc. pretty much anything you’d wanna learn. He’s real nice and he has really good advice for achieving your goals and he’s definitely helping me to get where I wanna go with guitar so I’d recommend him 100%
Ty is actually a pretty good teacher, and I would recommend anyone considering to join his lessons, as I have learned quite a bit from him.
Ty is one of the best guitarists I've met, and the best guitar instructor that I've had the pleasure of working with. If you are looking for lessons, I highly recommend taking them from Ty.

I have learned how to play lead guitar, greatly expanded my ability to play simple chords and barred chords and have acquired an understanding of music theory. My rhythm guitar which was my main frustration has become much better. The only thing I had to supply was time and effort. If you want to become a better guitar player I highly recommend Omaha Guitar Lessons. Less
I never picked up the guitar before because I was nervous about the hefty time commitment it would take to learn complex chords to be able to play the music I wanted to play, but the gurus at Omaha Guitar Lessons helped me breeze through learning the chords a lot quicker than I ever expected! I'm thoroughly surprised and pleased.
Learning the guitar at Omaha Guitar Lessons was challenging. You really have to be committed to practicing what you learn in the lessons quite frequently. But if you do, you can definitely grow as a player & learn a ton. The lessons are intuitive and the concepts are easy to grasp even for a novice player like myself. The instructors here are very nice! I'm a total "newbie" to playing the guitar and they expressed great patience and acceptance to make someone like me comfortable trying (and messing up) while learning to play.
If you want to learn guitar in a very straight forward manner that just makes sense, I highly recommend these guys. You'll be playing your first song in short order!
I'm the kind of girl who likes to sit, relax, and listen to music. The only frustrating part about that was that... I couldn't actually play any of the music I listened to! I like listening to acoustic music & am fascinated by the guitar so I decided to play one day. My boyfriend actually took some lessons from Omaha Guitar Lessons a couple years ago, and encouraged me to use them. I've gone to ... More

My boyfriend actually took some lessons from Omaha Guitar Lessons a couple years ago, and encouraged me to use them. I've gone to a couple lessons so far, and I'm really liking it! I can play some simple chords and some very, very basic songs, but I'm progressing quicker than I thought I ever would :) Less
