Was excited about this gym until I inquired about pricing. They refused to share anything unless I physically visited and took a 30 minute meeting at the gym. That would be 20 minute drive + 30 minute tour, just to know if the membership cost is in my budget. The whole text experience felt ethically questionable.

I've taken class with 3 of the trainers so far and all of them have been fantastic. The small group personal training is very individual in terms of your specific workout. And it's nice to be in a space with other people. It's only up to six people at a time so you still get attention to form cues and motivation. I've really enjoyed being a part of this community and Im seeing personal strength gains with committed consistency. 💪

The small group personal training classes are a great way to get started if you have no idea what you're doing in the gym (like I did).I put off starting strength training for way too long, but now it's something I genuinely look forward to!

Industrial Strength Gym and specifically Tony is a wonderful resource for integrating fitness and strength training back into your routine. After years of putting it off, I was able to get back into the gym thanks to their process of teaching the foundation of weight training. Gone is the intimidation and now I feel motivated and excited to learn whether that’s a one on one session or the small group training. I visited Portland for the weekend with my husband and we came to Industrial Strength to get a little lifting in! Mira and everyone in the gym was incredibly welcoming, and made ample space for us to train well.The space is awesome, full of weightlifting relics and each platform has everything it needs.We will definitely be coming back when we're in the area :)

Industrial Strength is the perfect gym if you are looking for a small, friendly, and serious community of like-minded strength enthusiasts who show up at the crack of dawn to lift heavy things up and then put them back down. This is the only gym I've stayed with year after year and watched myself improve and grow stronger. Owners Tony and Mira are terrific and our morning coach, Ross, rocks the free world.

I've been to several different BJJ studios, but this one has been my favorite! Tony is a fantastic instructor, and keeps the classes interesting. The class sizes are small enough to not be overwhelming, but still have enough people to roll with. And there's usually a couple of girls in the class as well, which I appreciate. The space is clean and has a great aesthetic. And big private bathrooms with showers!

Industrial Strength is great! I found it while looking for a place to practice Brazilian jiu jitsu near where I lived, and it has proved to be an excellent place to train. As a black belt in jiu jitsu, Industrial Strength has all the qualities I was looking for in a good gym. The instructors are very knowledgeable, and can tailor the class experience so that there is something for beginners and experts alike. The gym is a great community that brings together a wide variety of people with a variety of different goals. I'm grateful that I was able to find Industrial Strength, and I look forward to my continuing to train there.

Been going to the jiu jitsu program here for a few months and it’s a great fit. Industrial Strength is a friendly, safe, welcoming environment for women looking to train BJJ and that’s really important! The gym is extraordinarily clean, with spacious spotless changing rooms and bathrooms. The quality of instruction is very high and I’m really enjoying my classes with Tony and Vickie. I plan to train BJJ at Industrial Strength for years to come.
