Extreme Disappointment with PRIVATE COLLECTION MOTORS - Buyer Beware In August 2024, we purchased a 1997 Rolls Royce Silver Spur from PRIVATE COLLECTION MOTORS of Costa Mesa. The experience was a nightmare. Despite having an inspection report from O'GARA COACH BEVERLY HILLS dated April 29, 2024, stating the vehicle was in good condition with no major problems, our experience is otherwise. On our very first drive, we noticed the rear shocks needed replacement, and leaked two different fluids on our garage floor. Concerned, the car went to Desert European Motorcars of Rancho Mirage. Their inspection revealed the rear gas shocks were empty and required replacement. More alarmingly, they found a spark occurring from a spark plug wire to the engine block, which was a fire hazard. The repairs at Desert European Motorcars was over $8,000. Some issues were not addressed due to the unavailability of original parts, leading to an additional $4,000 with a local Rolls Royce certified mechanic. In total, we spent over $12,000 in repairs, hoping for an operational vehicle. Unfortunately, problems did not end there. A week later, the car had a new issue: it would start, but cut off when the key moved from "start" to "run," leaving us stranded on multiple occasions over the next three weeks. Today, the car is back in the garage. Our trust in PRIVATE COLLECTION MOTORS and inspection from O'GARA COACH BEVERLY HILLS is non-existent. This is not our first Rolls Royce, but the biggest disappointment we ever experienced with a vehicle purchase. Potential buyers should exercise extreme caution. Do not rely on inspection reports or assurances about a vehicle's condition from these vendors. BUYER BEWARE!
