It’s been about 6 months since I started training with Coach Eason. I’ve been moderately active for some years (CrossFit, Pilates, yoga, running, boxing, circuit training etc) before I decided to invest in personal training to target specific goals. I’m not new to personal training, and while my past PT experience helped me gain strength and fitness before, it was nowhere close to what Eason / MOVE has provided. You can always tell when someone’s passionate about something. And Eason is clearly passionate about fitness, and has the enthusiasm to get others excited about it too. Through my sessions with him twice a week, I’ve gained so much strength, gotten a lot more toned, lost a lot of body fat, and learnt proper form and technique for the various exercises I did. He pushes me hard enough to make me regret my life choices but yet feel so accomplished and strong at the end of it. He doesn’t just get you to do a program and call it a day. He makes it specific to your goals, and tailors it on the spot depending on your condition and needs. There’s constant variation in the program to keep things interesting and progressing. Eason also spends time to educate, and I’ve learnt so much about strength training from him - not just the movements, but the science behind them too. Over time, I’ve also picked up really useful knowledge about adjusting my lifestyle and nutrition habits sustainably to meet my goals. In a world where AI can program workouts for you, and YouTube can teach you how to do exercises, what sets a PT apart is the “personal” more than the “trainer” aspect. And I believe this is where the value lies. Eason is a very skilled trainer no doubt, but he also has a cheerful and witty personality. I feel that he genuinely cares about me as a client. We have conversations about everything under the sun; this really helps build our rapport, and makes sessions fun and engaging. By now, he knows my injury history, my tendencies towards certain “bad habits” like not getting enough rest days/sleep and etc. He keeps me accountable, and his non-judgmental, steady and consistent presence really makes me feel supported in my fitness journey. Also, no AI can correct your form on the spot for you!Price-wise, strength training at MOVE can undoubtedly make a dent in your wallet, more than many other gyms for sure, so consider your finances before making a decision. Not offering an instalment plan can also potentially turn people away. But I can say it’s premium for a reason. The value it provides is top tier for all the reasons I listed above; I have no regrets. Consider it an investment in your health. And shouldn’t health be our utmost priority? As for the gym itself - easy parking for those who drive, within walking distance to Lembah Subang LRT for those who take public transport. It’s also very clean and well-maintained. It’s appointment-only, which has both upsides and downsides. There are no problems with availability of equipment, and you get absolute privacy if you’re into that, but you also don’t get an open gym to train in by yourself at your own time. The other coaches are also really friendly so it all contributes to a nice and welcoming vibe.Overall, it’s been an incredibly worthwhile experience; my fitness and strength have truly never been better. Highly recommend Eason, zero hesitation!
