Raise the Bar Fitness is the best CrossFit gym in Manassas. Going into it, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but RtB exceeded all expectations. The coaches really take their time to help you understand things you may not know, or help you find your limit. They’re always so patient and kind, and make you feel on top of the world when you finally figure it out, or hit a new mile stone. I’ve never met a more supportive community in my life. My first day there, everyone was so kind and encouraging and I felt right at home, and it made me want to go back. I HIGHLY recommend RtB, not only for the amazing and supportive coaches, the intense but beneficial and creative workouts..But for the wonderful community and the happiness and accomplishment you feel after your workout. They meet me where I’m at while still encouraging me to do a little more each day which has help me grow tremendously in the last 6 months. I also found an amazing and welcoming community during my 6 weeks. When I come and workout at RtB I know I’ll be surrounded by warm, welcoming people across the spectrum of atheletism. I recently had my annual physical and while I still have high blood pressure (131/91) my cholesterol decrease from 240 to 223. This place isn’t just a gym, it was my starting line to a healthier, future me with my own community of cheerleaders supporting me to be 1% better than yesterday 🎉📣🎊 Less
Everyone is warm and welcoming. The workouts are great, a bit challenging but I love it.
I have been a member of RtB fitness for the last one year. I really enjoy workouts here. Trainers have been really great and supportive of individual accommodations. We have been able to achieve great results so far. I highly recommend this gym.

Firstly, I want to say up front that I cannot make any claims about the services provided at this gym - it's a group fitness gym, and I assume the classes are not significantly better or worse than any other group fitness gym out there. I do, however, want to educate people on the terms of the 6-week "free" challenge provided ... More
If you are considering the "free" 6-week challenge, please read this. Firstly, I want to say up front that I cannot make any claims about the services provided at this gym - it's a group fitness gym, and I assume the classes are not significantly better or worse than any other group fitness gym out there. I do, however, want to educate people on the terms of the 6-week "free" challenge provided by this gym. I attended a free consultation last night and was disappointed at the lack of transparency surrounding the program. As stated by some other reviewers, the challenge is not free. You are required to put a $600 deposit down before participating, on the condition that you will receive your money back if you complete the challenge successfully. To successfully complete the challenge, you must lose 10% of your body weight, or if your BMI is over a certain threshold, 25 lbs. That comes out to losing just over 4 lbs a week to successfully complete the challenge. In line with current conventional medical wisdom, losing more than 1-2 lbs a week is considered too fast, and can put you at risk of many health-related issues such as muscle loss, gall stones, nutritional deficiencies, and a drop in metabolism (which could lead you to quickly regain the weight you lose during the challenge). Please do not take my word for it - I encourage you to do your own research on the matter. More than the health risks it presents, losing 4 lbs a week is just simply not possible for most people, whose age, current weight, and other pre-existing health conditions may make it more difficult to lose weight and keep it off. Brian, the owner, has responded to previous reviews that mention the misleading advertising by saying "We're sorry you did not read the entire advertisement." In this, I believe he is referencing the statement "Terms and Conditions Apply" listed conspicuously in some of the online ads. However, you cannot simply say "Terms and Conditions Apply" when advertising a service that costs $600 to participate in. The cost of your service is not simply a "Term" that you can exclude from advertisement, and I think it's a matter of time before someone gets upset at losing their money and brings a legal challenge against this gym. Again, I cannot make any claims about the quality of services provided at this gym. I simply want people to understand what they are signing up for when they choose the 6-week challenge. When you put down your deposit of $600, you are betting on yourself and your ability to complete the challenge. But this also means that - for the gym to make any money from this challenge - they are betting AGAINST you. They have no incentive to facilitate your success in this challenge. Ask yourself - would you pay $100 a week for a gym membership? That is what the cost comes down to if you fail. If you can live with that, and you think that this type of program is right for you, by all means, please do reach out. But don't fool yourself about what the gym's incentive is. In my consultation, the owner admitted that only 10-20% of people successfully complete the challenge. I have attached screenshots below of the advertisement I clicked on from Instagram. As you will see, there is no mention of "Terms and Conditions" or what those Terms and Conditions might entail. If you are curious as to the illegality of such advertising, please consult Title 16 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 251.1(c), entitled, "Disclosure of Conditions." Quote: "All of the terms, conditions and obligations should appear in close conjunction with the offer of “Free” merchandise or service. For example, disclosure of the terms of the offer set forth in a footnote of an advertisement to which reference is made by an asterisk or other symbol placed next to the offer, is not regarded as making disclosure at the outset." Absolutely love this place! I am new to CrossFit and group workouts as a whole and the trainers and people are absolutely amazing. They have many classes to fit any schedule and I highly recommend!! Can’t wait to become the stronger me!

I have been to many gyms over the years and have tried so many different fad diets. They have showed great results in the end; however, the maintenance of it all was not sustainable for me to continue on a consistent basis. I got tired of doing the same routine independently and laziness set in, leading to an unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle. I clearly remember back in January, how very unhappy I was with my appearance, not having the energy or strength to walk up the flights of stairs at my house (have 3 stories), and how poorly my medical labs looked. Until one evening, I saw an ad on social media with an invitation to sign up for a free six week fitness challenge. Fast forward almost four months later. I learned a lot of valuable information on what it truly means to eat clean and healthy, working out at least three times a week is a highly recommended, and having a good support system makes all the difference in the world. All of this makes for a reliably sustainable lifestyle journey. It also didn’t hurt that I lost almost 30 pounds since January, gained muscle mass, and reduced body fat/mass. I am now fully committed to this new way of life, and dedicated to continuing my journey with the best gym in Manassas! Less

UPDATED REVIEW This is the Best Gym in Manassas! I am still very, very pleased with everything in my previous review. I have been coming to RTB for almost a year now! Time flies when you're having fun! Workouts never seem like just a workout. It feels like a family. I love how welcoming they are to newcomers. That was one thing that sold me on this gym. From Day 1, they were very helpful and guided me along. I never felt like I was a burden or talked down to, like in some previous gyms by Coaches. Now I have even found myself helping newcomers and trying to offer encouragement to them. To date: I am down 50lbs, 10 pant sizes, and 3 shirt sizes. Even though the scale hasn't moved in awhile.... I still recognize the changes. I've been losing fat and inches, but gaining muscle in return. This has been the best life decision that I have ever made for myself. Raise the Bar is the best gym in Manassas. Brian helped me lose the 35-40 lbs in 6 weeks through exercise and nutrition. Brian and the rest of his coaches will motivate you through the entire workout. This gym is more like a family, everyone is super kind and will also push you to do and be better.

Do NOT be fooled, the challenge is not free, but you can get your money back if you meet very specific challenge criteria or decide to sign a year-long contract with the gym. In the 6-week program, you are given a meal plan to follow and are supposed to show up for workouts at the gym 3 days a week. The meal plan is based on your current weight and fitness goals and is split into protein, carbs, veggies, and fat. There are quite a few restrictions on foods you can eat and they highly recommend you cook all your meals during the 6 weeks while following an intermittent fasting schedule. I entered into the challenge blindly and didn't think to ask more about it. I just figured this was something that I needed to jump-start my weight loss journey so I'll suffer through it. I got great results from the challenge and if I wanted to practically isolate myself from the world I could keep doing this for a whole year and be so fit. But alas, my only hobby is socializing over food and drinks. There is an app for the gym that you use to sign up for classes. There are classes in the morning or the evening. I enjoyed the classes, although some days they felt too crowded. I liked that I could choose how hard I push myself in the class. The instructors were great at helping with correct form or suggesting alternative exercises when I had physical limitations. At the beginning of the week, they post on Facebook the class schedule. I enjoyed this because I didn’t need to put thought into what workout I wanted to do. I tried to do one cardio and two lifting workouts a week. If you are a member you can go to the gym the 6 days of the week they are open (closed on Sundays). While I enjoyed the workouts and atmosphere of the gym, there are things about the gym that made me decide to not continue as a member. My biggest issue was that I could not justify the cost of the gym (currently $220/month) for the limited availability of use. The classes didn’t fit well into my life. I went to 6 am workouts and by the time I was done with class, drove home, showered, ate breakfast, and commuted I barely made it to work on time. There are only 2 evening sessions that didn’t fit into my schedule either. I wish there was a later evening class and more classes on the weekend. I am not the kind of person to wake up for the single 7:30 am Saturday class so I can get a workout in. Also, I was slightly put off that they don’t have jump ropes in the gym so we had to bring our own. With the price of membership, I shouldn’t have to bring my own equipment unless I really, really wanted to. The gym's app needs to incorporate the type of class (cardio/upper body/lower body) in its scheduling system. I shouldn't need to refer back to Facebook to help me schedule out my week on the app. I thought that the gym needed to provide more information in writing. The gym owner is def a tough-love kind of guy. On orientation day I was word-bombed with information for the challenge and nutrient advice and then had to recall it all. There is a portal with information that is hard to navigate and a Facebook page but what I need is an old-school packet of info that I could then write additional notes on. Less

About 2 & half years ago a suffered a major stroke. Physical therapy was good but I need more of a challenge. I went to a class last week and really enjoyed myself. The staff was able to work with me & my Physical issues. I will be back!!!

I'm fairly new to the RtB family but have really enjoyed the experience so far. The nutritional guidance and class format has really helped guide me on my new health journey. Awsome coaches, knowledgeable. Classes are offered all times of day to fit any schedule. I like that you must schedule in advance to prevent over crowding. Any skill level can get results and hit your goals at your pace. However, expect that extra push and support from "your new gym family" to get you where you want to be!

Very supportive gym to go. People are nice and motivating. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to show you how to properly do workouts and modifications if you need it. After having 2 kids and starting my journey with Raise the Bar while still postpartum, I am more physically fit than I ever have been. I received so many compliments on my physical appearance, in how much weight I’ve lost, and how much muscle I have gained . People are constantly surprised I have 2 kids. But what mattered the most to me was my physical health and I feel so much better in my day to day. I am no longer physically winded or sore after my long shifts or after playing with my 2 year old. Would not recommend this gym for the average person. They get you in by advertising a “free” 6-week challenge however they ask for a $600 deposit. You only get the deposit back if you follow all the rules (meal plan with photo proof of meals, meet the required workouts per week) as well as lose the weight they say you should lose. If you do everything else other than lose the weight they give you... More
Would not recommend this gym for the average person. They get you in by advertising a “free” 6-week challenge however they ask for a $600 deposit. You only get the deposit back if you follow all the rules (meal plan with photo proof of meals, meet the required workouts per week) as well as lose the weight they say you should lose. If you do everything else other than lose the weight they give you to lose, you still wouldn't get your deposit back which makes no sense to me. Even if you lose a pound less, you would be forfeiting your deposit. The deposit of $600 does go towards the monthly membership price but will only be a discounted amount per month. For example, the regular monthly amount is $200 but for a certain amount of months it would be $165 (Per owner). You also are locked into a three month membership term as it takes 90 days notice to cancel a membership. I will also add that whoever does this challenge is required to leave a review hence so many positive ones. Maybe this gym is for you but it just seemed to me like a scam. I enjoyed working out at the gym, the support I got from other members of the gym, and the support I got with diet and life planning from the coaches so much that I decided to sign up for a membership after completing my six week challenge! The coaches are great during the classes, and it almost feels one on one because of the attention they pay to you. I was a little hesitant, considering I had a previous CrossFit injury. I completed the 6 week challenge at Raise the Bar Fitness and it was really great for creating the habit of incorporating working out into my weekly routine! The workouts were very challenging, but the results were worth it. The coaches and community are supportive and help keep you accountable. I have been a member of Raise the Bar Fitness for about 3 years and can't say enough good things about this place. I have had the opportunity of training with a few of the Coaches and they are all willing, ready and able to assist to make sure that you are doing every exercise correct. The workouts are done at your own pace so its truly a place where you can maximize your own potential. I enjoy the way they have structured their workouts. By the end of the week you'll have done an entire body workout. And you'll never do the same workout. I also appreciate that it only takes an hour of my day. This is an absolutely amazing gym. I’ve hated going to the gym for various reasons, but the atmosphere and attitudes being one of the main issues in the past. Everyone here is just so wonderful and helpful, whether the trainers or just the other members in class! I’ve never been a member of a gym like this before and it’s just amazing 💕! Even when the pandemic shut everything down, the owners scrambled and created virtual classes from scratch so we wouldn’t miss workouts. They kept improving everything they could, so the virtual works keep getting better and better! Even now, as they’ve reopened they’ve done it in a way to keep everyone safe and kept the online classes going for those of us who aren’t quite comfortable going in just yet. I love the enthusiasm of all the coaches. The workouts are great; unique and every muscle is getting worked out. The none repetitiveness of the workouts makes them fun. My chest size has decreased 2.5 inches, my biceps 1 inch and my thighs 2.5 inches. I am swimming in the clothes that were way too snug for me in May. The things you stand to lose are real nice but there is something even more fabulous than all you might lose. That is all the things that you stand to gain. I have gained the concern that Brian, Jenny, and the coaches take in my overall health. This place is more than a gym. Team members at RtB express interest in my goals, and offer plans, including meal plans with real food, to help me get there. After all, one cannot out exercise a bad diet. I have gained all the encouragement and fun that comes from a community of experienced coaches, as well as, encouragement from other members at varying degrees of fitness--novices to the most skillful. Highly skilled members are awesome in that you can see what you are working towards. Another area where I have experienced gain is the strength I have built while at RtB. In Phys.Ed. class throughout my adolescence I was the girl who couldn’t do much, if anything. Well, that isn’t true. I was pretty good at ribbon wands, haha. Now I can climb a rope, lift weights over my head, do weighted squats, including overhead, and handstands. I’ve discovered back muscles! Healthwise, I am in much better shape. I see the evidence in a new found softness of my hair and compliments on my “glowing” skin. I have gained the ability to work like I have never worked before. I am not simply passing time on a treadmill or an elliptical like I have done so many times before. I am pushing myself way beyond the threshold of comfort. I am sore more days than not because of it. That soreness is a badge of honor. Lastly, I have gained immeasurable pride in the work I am able to do, in work I have done, and in my accomplishments during these past few months. I have been coming to this gym for over 2 years and my only regret is I cannot come more often. The coaching staff and owners are top notch compared to other gyms I have been to. In the middle of the challenge I sprained my knee and was completely bummed that I wouldn’t be able to keep going, but I showed up and after talking with Jenny she had a plan. Even though I was disappointed in myself with how out of shape I was, they kept motivating me and pushing me. Even with my previous sports injuries they modified each workout as needed so I was still able to do it safely and improve. They truly care about their athletes and don't coach blindly. I'm grateful that I came across this. Everyone keeps telling me how they can tell I've lost weight. They set you up with a Nutrition plan NOT a Diet that leaves you multiple options and to even go further they give you a Cookbook for some ideas. They set you up for success. I still have 1 more week to go, and I may not lose as much weight as I wanted by the end of the 6 week challenge, but they provided the tool I need to stay motivated and stick with it to where even after the challenge im going to still stay on the same fitness level with working out and eating healthier. I recently completed the six-week challenge. Workouts: The workouts are tough. When you first walk in and see what is expected of you, it can be a little overwhelming (especially if you haven’t worked out like that in a long time, or ever). What’s fun is that by the end of the 6 weeks, you walk in and see the work out of the day and know that you can do it. Frank is a great trainer and pushes you without being overwhelming, and the atmosphere in the gym is positive and encouraging (no judgements). Diet: The diet can be really hard. It’s super restrictive, which is why it works. I can see the benefits of the food prep as it keeps you in line. If you are single, or child-free, I don’t imagine the food prep will be too hard. I feel like it’s harder when you have a family to live like this for 6 weeks. It’s doable, but it would literally take all day. Protein shakes: some people love them, I was not one of those people. I did find the fudge brownie to be the most tolerable. It’s important to eat everything on the diet; it will help you reach your goal. Accountability: Posting photos of your groceries and food prep really helps in the accountability. Seeing that other people are with you helps too. Plus, you can find a few good ideas for recipes that make the diet better. I would agree with previous reviewers that feedback after the first half of the challenge would be an improvement. Bottom line: If you’re considering doing the challenge, you might consider just joining the gym instead. If I could go back, I would have just joined the gym and skipped the challenge. I met my goal, but it was crazy hard and feel burned out now. TL;DR: Good gym/workouts, hard diet, nice program that gets results. Recommend the gym but not necessarily the challenge. Less

I turned 50 during the challenge and was witnessing a change physically I'd put off far too long. Not only was I seeing the changes but friends, family, and coworkers started commenting on the weight loss which really boosted my confidence in the task at hand. I'm a foodie and truly thought it would be harder giving up dairy, sugar and bread (i love good bread/any bread). However, after beginning the challenge I found it easier than I expected. I did constantly talk about what foods I missed and craved but did not give in. Did I mention that I really like good bread? Sarah and Evie (the 5am crew) were always amazing and I appreciate them for conditioning our minds and bodies. Thank you both for taking time and always stressing proper form. Both of you are consistent motivators that I truly appreciate. Were there mornings where the warm up alone had me winded and ready to say nice work out, lets go home, yes. 6 weeks later I'm in awe of the clothes that fit so loosely (I need a belt and suspenders) and the new found energy I have. I did complete what I set out to do and was victorious, which motivates me to continue on this journey of a healthier way of living. RTB has pushed me harder than I've been pushed in a long time. I joined the 6 week bootcamp which required 3 workouts a week and a strict meal plan. I was skeptical at first , but when I was down 15 pounds after 2 weeks I became a believer in their program. The workouts were tough and there were times I had a hard time moving around the next day but it was well worth it.
I wish I hadn't done this 6 week challenge. The classes were ok, but not as great as some I have tried at other gyms. I lost about 12 lbs in the program, but the final scan said was a change of less than 1% body fat. This is pretty impossible mathematically, so either their machine is off, or I lost muscle and gained fat during the program. I wish I had put that $500 towards a different gym, ... More

During our workouts at first I saw how out of shape and weak and how easily tired I would get. But I pushed on and half way through I was believing more and more in this challenge and I was shredding the pounds and getting stronger physically and mentally. After I signed up for the challenge I was really worried about making it through Thanksgiving and Christmas. With their support and guidance I was able to stay strong for the most part. I wasn’t perfect but having them there to hold me accountable helped tremendously. They have really taught me how to eat healthy and have changed my way of eating/living for the better.

I decided to sign up and do a 6week challenge with Raise The Bar, after 2 cycles of challenges had come and gone. I wanted an incredible "Before" and "After". I stuck to the meal plan (98% of the time), and went to my 3 classes every week. The classes are fantastic and were never the same. The coaches are encouraging and thoughtful. I appreciate the accountability at this gym, the atmosphere within it and the genuine care for each individuals health and fitness. Though I did not achieve my goal of 6% body fat loss, because of RTB, I achieved a new standard for myself. A health and fitness priority I've never really had for myself before. If you are looking for a gym where you can wear your earbuds, do your own thing and not interact with others, then Raise the Bar isn’t the place for you. However, if you are looking for a place where you interact and have fun with your gym family, where both management and coaches take a genuine interest in your success, and where classmates encourage and support each other as everyone suffers through the daily workout together, then I highly recommend Raise the Bar. I was a thin and athletic youngster who played several sports, and I remained that way through graduate school without having to put much effort into it. However, like so many others, once I was out of school and in the work force, my activity level decreased and my weight increased. Health and fitness weren't a priority for me. I was regularly eating processed foods and my exercise was sporadic, eventually getting to the point where I would do just enough to lose a few pounds before vacation, but not much else the rest of the year. I continued gaining weight, and then I ruptured my Achilles tendon, which eliminated all physical activity for several months, and led to even more weight gain. In May of 2017, I was 49 years old, grossly overweight, extremely out of shape and nursing a surgically reattached Achilles tendon. I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life and none of my clothes fit. I was embarrassed and ashamed at how far I had let myself slide. Something had to change. I saw Raise the Bar was having a 6-week CrossFit Challenge, and although I had no idea what CrossFit was, I was intrigued. So, I discussed it with my wife and then we both signed up for the challenge. Immediately we could tell it was completely different than our other gym experiences. Each classmate was at a different level of experience, strength and fitness, and all were pushing themselves to exhaustion. The coaches were knowledgeable, and the various exercises were modified, as needed, so no one was singled out due to a lack of strength or skill. And perhaps the best part was how everyone encouraged and supported each other. It wasn’t about competing against each other. It was about pushing yourself to do your best. It sort of reminded me of the camaraderie found in team sports, and I loved it. The beginning of the 6-week challenge was wonderfully awful! Every day I was humbled, exhausted and left so sore that I wasn’t sure I’d be able to return the next day - but I kept coming back. Every day I was reminded that I had a very long way to go on my health and fitness journey - and with the help, support and encouragement of the fantastic coaches and classmates at Raise the Bar, every day I took another step on that journey. It wasn’t easy, but it was fun and it was worth it. My wife and I finished that 6-week challenge and in the process, we both lost a bunch of weight and lowered our body fat %. We were so happy with our success and our new gym family at Raise the Bar that we joined as members. After a couple of months at Raise the Bar we signed up for a second 6-week challenge, which focused on nutrition and helped us lose even more weight and lower our body fat % even more. We just finished 6 months at Raise the Bar and I am thrilled to report I have lost more than 50 pounds, my body fat percentage has dropped more than 15%, and I am continuing to improve my strength, skill and overall fitness every day. My husband and I joined RtB at the end of May 2017. You might be here looking at reviews because you are wondering how RtB will help you lose weight, lose body fat, and fit into smaller clothes. Today, I have some metrics to share with you. From May to today I have lost 23 lbs and 8% body fat. I have lost 3 inches from my waist, 4 inches from my hips, 4 inches from the area around my belly button. My chest size has decreased 2.5 inches, my biceps 1 inch and my thighs 2.5 inches. I am swimming in the clothes that were way too snug for me in May. The things you stand to lose are real nice but there is something even more fabulous than all you might lose. That is all the things that you stand to gain. I have gained the concern that Brian, Jenny, and the coaches take in my overall health. This place is more than a gym. Team members at RtB express interest in my goals, and offer plans, including meal plans with real food, to help me get there. After all, one cannot out exercise a bad diet. I have gained all the encouragement and fun that comes from a community of experienced coaches, as well as, encouragement from other members at varying degrees of fitness--novices to the most skillful. Highly skilled members are awesome in that you can see what you are working towards. Another area where I have experienced gain is the strength I have built while at RtB. In Phys.Ed. class throughout my adolescence I was the girl who couldn’t do much, if anything. Well, that isn’t true. I was pretty good at ribbon wands, haha. Now I can climb a rope, lift weights over my head, do weighted squats, including overhead, and more. I’ve discovered back muscles! Healthwise, I am in much better shape. I see the evidence in a new found softness of my hair and compliments on my “glowing” skin. I have gained the ability to work like I have never worked before. I am not simply passing time on a treadmill or an elliptical like I have done so many times before. I am pushing myself way beyond the threshold of comfort. I am sore more days than not because of it. That soreness is a badge of honor. Lastly, I have gained immeasurable pride in the work I am able to do, in work I have done, and in my accomplishments during these past few months. I love RtB for the motivation and encouragement the trainers give each and everyone of us during our workouts! The best thing is that there are people at various fitness levels and they will find a way to get you to where you need/want to be!

2 months in and loving it! When I visited BRCF a few months back I found exactly what I was looking for. Fitness has been a big part of my life for the past 10+ years, and as I looked for a new gym/box in the area, I had a specific check list of qualities I wanted to find. First and foremost was quality programming and coaching. I was not willing to compromise here. Brian Sweeney and the programming he does for BRCF has met and exceeded my expectations. Thought out processes with a clear cut direction and goal. His knowledge/education in nutrition, mobility, recovery, and other fields have really helped my overall fitness, and improved my personal knowledge in all fields. Secondly I wanted to find a gym that I could develop as an athlete, and as a coach. With help and direction from all of the staff at BRCF, this is becoming a reality. Each member of their staff brings a different style and quality to the table. It's evident that they all are continuing to grow and learn as coaches, and Brian does a great job of facilitating that on a weekly basis. Lastly, and this was really just a bonus. The people. I thrive off competition, but only if it's done with respect and teamwork. I'm yet to meet a single person who cuts people down, or even just brings a poor attitude in. BRCF is a great facility. Coaches are top notch and willing to work with everyone to achieve their goals. The community is what allows individuals to push harder through encouragement and a team environment. This is a great place to realize your goals whatever they may be.

I have been going to Bull Run Crossfit for the past 2 months and I tell you what from someone who has traveled and been in crossfit boxes all over the world this one is special. Before I went for the first time I went to their website looked at their class schedule and emailed their contact info and made sure it was ok if I joined. They responded in a timely manor and I looked forward to the workout the next day. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by a professional and clean front entry way. With a high end supplements and a small amount of gear for sale. Behind the desk was a smiling staff member that instantly new I was new and went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Once I introduced my self she took me through the entry way and into the main gym. (I would later learn they have a small studio upstairs for small classes and a message therapist that comes in on Fridays!) The main fitness floor is a large spacious areas with high quality equipment. 2 large racks (ROGUE) plenty of Dumbbells, barbells, ropes, plyo boxes, rowers, bands, jump ropes, medballs, kettle bells, rings and sleds. The space was extremely clean (even the pull-up bars looked like they were wiped down, with no residual chalk or tape from the class before) and organized. They even had a diamond plate cubby corner for you to put your gym bag and what ever else your brought in with you. As I was standing around waiting for class to start I was introduced to one of the other members who went on to tell me that he had been a member sense the begging of the gym and started his fitness career there. Good to see longterm members believing in the ideology and community. As the rest of the class showed up and class began the coach took us through a general group warm up and did something that not all gyms do. They introduced me to the class, made some laughs and helped me feel even more welcome, like I was joining a family for dinner or something. Once the warm up was done it was workout time. I was directed on where to get the proper equipment and gear to complete it. Work out went well. Was fun and exhausting all at the same time. The coach stayed engaged and vigilant the entire time. Gave motivating and direction cues to the members who needed. At the end of the workout as is customary at all gyms high 5s were given and congratulations on completing a challenging workout. After a short cool down and mobility work and conversation I was on my way. Leaving with a sense of welcome, community engagement, and motivated I returned and now have become a active member at the gym. And it wasn't until after all this that I learned about the unique offerings of this place. They are not only a crossfit box but also a strength and conditioning gym. Meaning they offer all types of classes for all fitness levels; from boot camps, p90x styled classes, to even striking/ self defense classes, and many more! Awesome to see them creating a place and atmosphere for anyone of any fitness level and comfort level to succeed and reach their goals! Less

Raise The Bar is an incredible facility with First Class Trainers! RTB puts a lot of dedication into their workout schedules along with teaching you about nutrition. Their trainers take pride in helping every single member develope at their own pace. Come on in and try it, you won't regret it!

I am very proud to be a member at Bull Run CrossFit/Raise the Bar. There is no other gym that can compare to the knowledge and support that they offer. Very upbeat atmosphere, great equipment, and flexible class schedules for everyone. Everyday is like having your own personal trainer dedicated to your nutrition, strength, and well being.
