They replaced our boiler in the last week, and when they came to give us a quotation, they lowballed us and estimated about $2100. When they actually came to replace the boiler, they claimed that we had given misinformation about our existing boiler and infrastructure (in fact we had given them our exact boiler model so there is no possibility of misinformation here). After claiming that we had not given them correct information, they changed the estimate to over $2700, a $600 increase. When we tried to argue that the quoted price doesn't match this, they threatened to take the new boiler away -- our boiler was broken and we were desperate, so we had no choice but to accept. We're very upset that they lowballed us in the quotation and threatened to not replace our boiler for a higher price when we had no good other options at that moment. Less
