Let me start by saying that whatever it is that you’re looking for in a dog trainer look no further. I have a VERY aggressive/protective pitbull who was raised in the covid times. My wife and I have tried everything to give her a normal dog life and nothing was working. It got to the point where we couldn’t take her on walks for her safety and the safety of other people or animals. Finding Janine and Nick has changed our lives. Janine is incredibly sweet, great at communicating, and answers any and all questions. Nick is stern, shows no fear, and has an incredible calmness about him. And the best part is that you can tell that they genuinely care about the dog and the outcome of their work. We haven’t finished training yet but already after a few sessions there has been a HUGE improvement. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nick and Janine. Jack was full of anxiety, would pace the house barking at everything, rude to guests and impossible to walk because he would lunge, pull and try to escape his leash. I have a 65 lb pitty named Tessa. I rescued her from the shelter and like moat dogs she came with her own issues. She had a bit of agression and resource gaurding issues as well as hard pulling on walks especially if she saw another dog in the area. I have a 130 pound Neo named Archie. He has a habit of pulling. Did not really bother me until I injured my knees and my hip. Called Alpha Dog, Nicky came over and bonded immediately with Archie. Corrected the problem very quickly in a way that even seemed to be fun for Archie. Like he was playing with him. Didn’t even realize he was learning and being corrected. Nick was great. We were the proud owners of a Douge de Bordeaux, a French Mastiff, who joined our family during the peak of the 2020 pandemic. What started as a 7lb playful puppy had now blossomed into a 145lb force that seemed beyond our control. Due to the constraints of the pandemic, our beloved Kaine never received the proper socialization, making our attempts to take him for walks an absolute nightmare. Kaine's tendencies to lunge at strangers, chase after children on bikes and scooters, and pick fights with other dogs on the street made it increasingly risky to walk him, limiting his exercise to our backyard. Realizing this was not the life we wanted for our dog, we knew we needed professional assistance. Our journey to find the right trainer was not without challenges. The first trainer we encountered preferred fear-based methods over using food as a reward, which only served to agitate Kaine further. The second trainer, while using food in training, focused primarily on burning Kaine's energy through agility training, leaving his obedience issues unaddressed and our walks unchanged. Faced with the daunting prospect of keeping a 145lb dog cooped up at home, we turned to Nick and Janine as a last resort. It was a make-or-break moment for us. From the outset, Nick's approach stood out. During our first meeting, as an Amazon driver approached, Kaine prepared to react aggressively, yet Nick's composed "No" was all it took to bring Kaine back under control. We knew we were in good hands. The six weeks of training that followed were not without their challenges, with Kaine tethered to me at all times to establish control within the home. It was no easy feat maneuvering around with a 145lb dog constantly at my side. However, the results were undeniable. Every weekend, Nick and Janine would take Kaine for walks, demonstrating a remarkable level of control without resorting to harsh methods. No pulling, no lunging, no shock collars, no intimidating corrections, no raised voices, and certainly no attempts to dominate a dog of his size. Just a simple $20 lead wielded skillfully by Nick to assert his authority. Apologies for the lengthy testimonial, but it's crucial to grasp the gravity of the situation we faced before Nick and Janine intervened. I was dragged on walks, reprimanded by concerned strangers, and felt utterly powerless in managing my dog. Thanks to their intervention, Kaine enjoyed his walks and has blossomed into a happier, well-behaved companion. We are forever indebted to Nick and Janine for turning our situation around. Less

Best trainers around!! I worked with both Janine and Nick to get my husky and german shepherd under control. Both used to pull on the leash during their walks, and now both of them can walk off leash with no issues! Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family members! Less
