Great way to update on a budget

Mike did a fantastic job refinishing a 20-yr old bathtub. It was a complete eye sore and now looks brand new! Additionally, he was there on time, finished quickly and had a great attitude. Money well spent.

A friend of mine recommended refinishing the tubs and recommended Bath Masters (Mike) so I decided to try it. So happy I did..the tubs look brand new!! We have five other condos and I will be refinishing the tubs versus replacing and tiling around them. There was nothing wrong with the function of the tubs they just looked discolored. We hired Bathmasters to refinish 2 tub/shower combos. They were an old yellowish brown and just never looked clean. We decided to try refinishing instead of replacing, and we’re glad we did. The job was done in about 4-5 hours, and they look brand new. We’re completely satisfied!

We have great quality tubs and showers that were 70's tubs with 70's colors, but all were in pristine condition and we wanted to keep them especially the cast iron tub. The high gloss, smooth, white finish was exactly what we wanted and we are pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this company for your tub/shower refinishing needs. I hate leaving this review, but I am hoping to save someone some serious money since mine has already been wasted. I hired Mike to spray a tub, a shower stall, and two sinks for $1100. It was quite a bit less than the other quotes I got, and a good friend of mine, along with the recent reviews here, backed up his work. I am a frugal DIY'er and considered doing the bath tile coating with the kits you see everywhere. Instead, I hired Bath Masters as a gift to myself so I can save my time for other projects, like our full kitchen remodel and flooring replacement. Plus, the finish he applies is supposed to be BETTER than the kits and he is a professional, so it will look even better than I could do, right? Right?! Well, the finish on my bathrooms are not lasting just weeks later and do not look professional. There is also overspray on everything- towel bars, cabinets, walls, toilet- despite taping and papering half the room. There are places sprayed thin and some parts were not painted at all, like under the soap dishes and at the top of the tile moulding, and there are drippy areas. The sides were taped and papered, but he still missed those areas with paint. I sent pics and asked him to come back. I put blue painters tape beside the areas of issue - almost 100 different areas between both rooms. He showed up. My door was open because it was a nice day. My little kids greeted him and he went to work on touch up without even talking to me. I didnt even know he was in my house. Touch up consisted of him peeling off my tape pieces, disregarding many of the areas I pointed out, and taking a cup of paint and smearing it onto the tiles with a gloves hand. Some areas look worse now and one small area has already come off. Judge for yourself whether this is what you want to spend your hard earned money on. I wish I had done it myself. Even if it took many hours, I would have been thorough and saved hundreds. I'm so disappointed and sad because Mike seems kind and professional and I really put my trust in him. If I can figure out how to post pics with a review, I will. I have the invoice and pics of unacceptable work. ETA: Mike, I know that the refinishing is not going to be the same as a new finish. I do, however, expect a thorough job of covering our tile and tub with the glaze and control of overspray and I shouldn't need to specify that expectation. What more could be done after you came back a second and third time and still didnt touch up everything? I don't really want another visit with more subpar touch ups and I doubt you'd come back to scrub or replace my toilet, plunger, cabinets, windows and floors to get all the overspray off two entire bathrooms. I gave you a chance to correct the mistakes before I left a review and decided not to bring up anything else because I didn't feel like you cared much about my concerns to begin with. I do agree that this is entire thing is unfortunate. Less
