Finding the right builder for your new home can be a nightmare so when I moved to Bundaberg from Mackay and needed to find a builder for the land I had purchased months before, I found myself in a fix. I didn't know anybody locally to consult so I started to search. I have always previously preferred a local builder rather than the "big guys" not only for a more personal touch but also to support local.After many weeks of asking questions and researching, I decided on Norm Wales Constructions. I required a purpose built home to suit my needs so after a meeting with Norm, I was introduced to the office team including Peter the draftsman who worked tirelessly to get things into perspective and scale after numerous alterations to the plan. Norm does however have numerous floor plans which would suit the needs of most people.So now, months after completion of our new home, I can confirm that the build was on time, the quality of the home is faultless, the attention to detail is very noticeable and the budget wasn't blown. Nothing was a problem to Norm. Everything was done in a very professional manner.I was introduced to all the tradies during the build inspections and I have used some of their services for some minor add ons post build.In conclusion, I totally recommend Norm Wales Constructions and its very friendly and knowledgeable team to build your dream home. Norm, Charlotte and Christine have been amazing with us from day one. Sadly due to family issues on the Gold coast we have to move away from the area. The team have been very supportive through this difficult time and we appreciate all their help from day one.They are not just professional, they listen, are compassionate and as helpful as is possible in any way possible.Saying goodbye to them today was like saying goodbye to family.We wish them every success in the future.

I have built three project homes before, but this time I wanted to build with a “real” builder.I wanted a builder who understands our individual needs and who is not building 20+ homes at one time. After much online research I found Norm Wales.Now I know it’s hard these days to trust written reviews but I could not find one bad review. After our initial meeting with Norm and the team, I could understand why. They truly understood what we wanted and they cared that the Home we built was exactly what we were dreaming of.We were very excited to get started but unfortunately like many, our land took almost a year longer than we were told, but Norm and the team were completely understanding and despite us having all our choices and plans in place, they managed to hold true with our costings.Once we started building, it didn’t matter who we spoke to whether it was Tradies, suppliers or locals, we got the same comments on Norm….”Oh, he has an excellent reputation and if you build with Norm, you will not have any problems”.Well, during our build, Norm was fantastic. He really seemed to care that we got the Home we wanted down to the last stud. Not only that, but if I asked a stupid question, he treated me with respect and gave me a thorough explanation to put my mind at ease.Don’t get me wrong, no Home is absolutely perfect and you will always find something you wish you had done differently but this Home is as close to perfect as we could’ve hoped.After several homes over the years, I can finally say…..”We’re Home!”Thanks Norm, Charlotte, Peter and the rest of the Team.Aaron and Christine Datlen
