If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure on the high seas, look no further than the Pirates of the Gulf Coast in Galveston, Texas! This thrilling experience takes you back to the golden age of piracy, and it is nothing short of spectacular.
From the moment we boarded the ship, the crew welcomed us with open arms and a hearty dose of pirate enthusiasm. The interactive storytelling and engaging performances were top-notch, immersing us in tales of treasure, adventure, and swashbuckling heroics. The cast was incredibly talented, with each character bringing their own unique flair to the experience.
The scenery was breathtaking as we sailed along the beautiful Gulf waters, and the stunning views added to the overall magic of the journey. The ship itself was well-maintained and authentically designed, making it feel like we were truly part of a pirate crew.
Kids and adults alike will love the excitement of the pirate battles, complete with water cannons and plenty of opportunities for audience participation. The laughter and cheers of everyone on board created an electrifying atmosphere that was contagious.
Whether you're a family looking for a fun outing or a couple seeking a unique date idea, Pirates of the Gulf Coast is an absolute must-do. I left with a smile on my face and tales of adventure to share. I can't recommend this experience enough—set sail with the pirates and make some unforgettable memories!

I didn't know anything about the pirate history of Galveston, or Campeche as it used to be called in the days of Jean Lafite.
Great times!

Loved our time at Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast this past Saturday afternoon. I came as part of a group event.
We did the haunted house and escape room. The haunted house was fun and made clever use of space. I thought 2 videos with exposition in a row to start it an odd choice, but nbd.
The escape room was a lot of fun, a short 25 minute clock with maybe 5-6 quick solve sort of puzzles. My spouse has written and worked on some escape rooms on the east coast in DC, and has done close to 200 around north america. I’ve done like 6 or 7. So, although it’s not my thing™️ I have him in my ear describing positives and negatives to rooms he has done as a participant and how he would do it differently.
So, if Evan had done this room I think he would say this: The room uses rfid tech well but puzzles could use some variety, too many locks. Things like (spoiler) using tally marks but having one set of “five” only have 3 lines, but it’s crossed out as though the number is 5 seem more like cheap tricks than satisfying ‘aha moments’ once discovered.
Brian, the employee who designed the room was working that day so we got a chance to gab about it. He was great with our group (we can be a lot as we are nearly all autistic and/or adhd). I peppered him with questions about the room, ghost tours and local lore. He was affable and knowledgeable.
Oh- one more thing yall need more merch! And better t shirts. I wanted to get one but didn’t like the options. Only about 3 designs and some of them had printing only on the back with a plain front. Usually you have something on the left breast on the front of such tees bc it looks too plain otherwise. I’d have that place stocked to the gills with marked up pirate merch if I were yall! 😂 I ended up buying pirate poetry magnets from the Elissa’s shop later on.
