So I love spicy things, the hot is a very good flavor without being just all vinegar or something like that which is what you get a lot of times when someone says Hot. Not knowing how HOT, hot is I went for the mild Jr. SANDO. It had no heat, which is what I expected. What I did not expect was the degree of "seasoning" on the strips of chicken to make the sandwich. It was very covered in what I guess to be paprika. I bet they get that in pallets full based on the amount. My wife got the dry wings. Same prep. See the picture of used napkins. Now for the slaw on the sandwich. Wow, that is some great stuff! Service was fast and friendly. Next time, I will bump up the heat. I like taste but not scorch my mouth, so I can't taste the slaw flavor. If you are a klutz don't wear a white shirt. P.S. pick the table with the fullest roll of paper towels. The wife and I stopped in for lunch. It was about 11 AM on a Thursday morning. We were greeted by Katrina who was behind the counter. The place was empty as they had just opened the doors. Very nice ambience inside. 3 televisions showing different programs. The decor on the walls was colorful and eye appealing. I knew I was already thinking of getting Cole slaw with my meal, but Cole slaws can be hit or miss. I asked Katrina if I would have a small spoon full so I could try it. She didn't hesitate and got me a nice portion to sample. * My wife ordered the Chicken Sando Jr with waffle fries and a drink * I ordered the 6 jumbo wings with Cole slaw My wife LOVED her sandwich. For being a "jr." it was pretty dang big. The waffle fries had an amazing seasoning on them. She said they were now her favorite waffle fries. She got sweet tea with her meal, and it was southern sweet tea just the way it should be. She was very happy with her meal. Now me.....the menu states and I quote: JUMBO WINGS. We'll let me tell you, they were some of the biggest wings I've had in a LONG time. I got them tossed in a honey BBQ sauce. They were tender and they were juicy. I got them breaded and they were just about the best wings I've ever had. The Cole slaw is made in house, and it was creamy and a little sweet (just the way I like it) They offer a military discount for veterans, and they have outside and inside seating. They also offer to go service. They do have desserts on the menu, but the 6 wings and slaw filled me up. Next time I might have to try the banana pudding Overall: Food was great. Service was great. We stopped at Hangry Joe’s on our way home from vacation and absolutely LOVED it! The atmosphere was great along with helpful staff and a great selection. Their fries are amazing and we all loved our food. Great stop along I-65, we’ll definitely be back! Less
