I went to Brett because I kept injuring my back doing ordinary things. He was very thorough in addressing my questions and helped me figure out how to strengthen my back and core in just a few sessions! I haven’t had a back injury since, and recommend Brett and Barbell Therapy to my friends and coworkers. If I need more physical therapy in the future I will be returning to Barbell Therapy.

I had a fantastic experience with Barbell Therapy to help solve some lingering back issues. Brett took time to truly evaluate and explain where my pain was coming from and provided an easy to follow regime to help address the problems I was experiencing. My back feels better than ever!
Very knowledgeable crew. It is possible to start feeling good without resorting to surgery. They put me on the right path to feeling better. Thank you Dr. Connor.
Amazing team! Extremely friendly atmosphere. Very professional staff. They get to know you. Then work with you and come up with a personal treatment plan that best fits your needs.

Dr Connor is a highly skilled PT. He has a wide knowledge about sports, exercises and wellness overall. He kept my son motivated to exercises and helped us to get the right diagnosis of my son’s conditions. We were always felt welcomed by the entire staff of the facility. I truly recommend the Barbell facility.

After seeing the team at Barbell Therapy, I had IMMEDIATE relief. After just one session I went from having 3+ headaches per week, to only 1 headache every other week or so. Continuing with my treatment, I've been able to significantly reduce my NSAID intake. I had been taking so many pain killers my liver function was extremely elevated and my doctor's were concerned. 6 months later and with the treatment plan from Barbell Therapy I'm happy to say that my liver function is back to normal, and I have relief for the first time in years. I had originally gone to see Barbell Therapy for an ankle sprain, but their team is so thorough that the topic of my headaches came up, and I'm so glad it did. It has been life changing. Less

Through referrals and research, Dr. Brett Scott at Barbell Therapy was highly recommended. Since I began physical therapy with him, I have been consistently impressed and wowed beyond belief. Brett treats every patient as an individual with a one-on-one session, giving them his undivided attention and expertise. His wealth of knowledge with physical therapy is immense. Unlike previous physical therapists I have seen, he does not have me “get on the bike and warm up for 15 minutes,” instead he has applied an individual approach to help my specific age, surgery, and specific issues. Havening gone through three hip replacements I have worked with some of the top physical therapy centers in Metro West and none come anywhere close to the level of care and knowledge that I have received at Barbell Therapy. Connor Bombaci, Barbell’s team’s other physical therapist is also incredible, with his contagious positive attitude and ability to focus and work with individual needs, he too achieves Barbell’s above standard attitude. Anthony is the front facing aspect of Barbell and his follow up and follow through are excellent. I truly can not say enough positive things about the Barbell team, and would recommend them to anyone. Less
This place is amazing! Connor was the best! It really did help my daughter get through her injury. She is better and back on the field. Thank you!
Brett and Connor are the gold standard. I've been treated by both of them with amazing results. Most recently, I saw Connor about a reoccurring calf and hamstring issue. Connor was able to diagnose the issue and after 2 PT sessions with him I was completely pain free and the issue hasn't occurred again. Highly recommend!

I am an older (52 years old) runner that was looking for physical therapy to address a lingering hamstring injury that had impacted my training for roughly 2 years. I had never done physical therapy and was curious about what it entailed and hopeful that it would accelerate my recovery. Brett was great at helping me understand the science behind the exercises and my underlying challenges with flexibility, strength, and balance. The weekly sessions started with an open discussion on my activity and pain/discomfort, transitioned into massage/needle/table to focus on problematic areas (legs, hips, ankles), and finished with exercises he would record for continuing at home. As I progressed, the exercises transitioned into strength training. Throughout the entire process, Brett has been positive, energetic, understanding, realistic/grounded, and knowledgeable. I could not be happier with the results. The sessions have given me confidence, addressed my injury at a core level rather than a quick patch, given me knowledge and routines to help avoid future injury, and my running feels more natural. My goal was to recover while training for a marathon in September and Brett’s help was critical in reaching this goal. Less

He was nice enough to handle me at my first powerlifting meet, and I signed up with him after that with another meet on the schedule. My first meet was in Feb 2021. Brett made a customized program for me to peak for another meet in May 2021. I did what my coach told me to do, and I put 18kg on my meet total in three months. When I hurt my back, he tailored my program to get back to health and do what I could do, safely. After a little while, I changed my goals, so he changed my style of training to meet my goals. There’s something about having someone to support you through the trials and tribulations of health and fitness. if you’re on the fence, I highly suggest you take a chance to take your strength to the next level, or to reach whatever the goal is you want to reach. I have mad respect for this guy. On top of that, we have a lot of fun. Like a gym family only better. Thanks Dad! Less

I signed up for a remote mobility program, and showed very promising results after 4 weeks. Their program helped improve my ankle mobility as well as my squat form and squat depth after 2.5 months of quarantine. I’m close to gaining back my squat performance numbers before COVID-19 pandemic. Definitely worth it and recommend this company
I highly recommend Brett. Seeing him for hip and lower back pain. I had stopped exercising because it was getting worse. Thanks to him I am jogging again!! He’s provides one on one treatment and is extremely knowledgeable.
I'm a strength athlete that's been seeing Brett for a year for PT. His tactics are more innovative than anyone I've worked with prior and takes his time to figure out the cause of the issue. After working with him on lower body imbalances, I was finally able to break a 4 year deadlift plateau.
AMAZING! Highly recommend! Very knowledgable. Went in with elbow pain that I was dealing with for many months. After only a few visits the pain went down substantially. Now I'm pain free completely and back to 100% in the gym/work. Even gave me some stretches to do at home which made a huge difference. Brett is a lifesaver. 10/10 recommend.
As a competitive runner who can’t stand to be sidelined, Brett has helped immensely to not only lesson the pain, but to make me a stronger person/runner in general. I am confident that with his help I will be able to become stronger and faster than ever!
Bret’s awesome! He has a great understanding of how the body functions and integrates it well with athletics/lifting. He’ll help you get back to what you love to do.
I tweaked my back working out and started seeing Brett at Barbell Therapy within a few weeks of doing that. I was looking to not only get the pain under control but to also figure out what I could work on to get back to lifting safely. Between the PT and coaching on my techniques I'm feeling much better and more confident while working out.
I went to Barbell Therapy for a nagging shoulder injury (2+ years). I had been going to another PT for months without much improvement. Within two months my shoulder pain had subsided and more importantly I was back doing the things I love to do. Thank you so much to a Brett! I can’t say enough good things about Barbell Performance and Therapy.
I cannot say enough good things about Barbell Therapy. Brett is very knowledgeable and takes the time to design a personal program for each client to reach their respective goals for optimum fitness and/or recovery.
Brett is a very methodical & supportive coach! He tailors each individual’s program to meet their needs & desires- whether it be an upcoming Olympic weightlifting meet, or looking to build strength & synchrony in the body after a surgical procedure, he’s got you!
Brett is extremely different than any other physical therapist I've ever tried. He gives you his undivided attention the entire time and truly cares about how much progress you make. He's very professional, clean, and personable. I wish I skipped all the pain clinic and neurologist appointments and went straight to him! Definitely go see him, you won't regret it.

Before there even was a Barbell Therapy, there was my friend, Brett - a highly intelligent, extremely passionate young man studying fitness. He read and listened to podcasts constantly, as well as hard working in his studies in School. And early on, he showed powerful gifts for functional training, strengthening weakness, and healing the body in an active way. I had suffered a herniated/bulging disk, and it created even issues walking. I was determined not to have surgery, and after explaning and consulting with him - Brett agreed. He and I met, close to a dozen times, working on muscle activation work, and how to stay active, while treating the disk, and even aiding in the bulge to be 'pulled in'. I never had the surgery and years later, I still give Brett the lion share of the credit. I constantly refer to him in conversation, regardless of whether it's for massage, Grastoning, recovery, strengthening a weakness, or techniques on Olympic or Powerlifting. And I proudly still wear my Barbell Therapy shirt occasionally to the gym.. because now, 6+ years later, I have been relatively, 98+% pain free, and continue my own Fitness journey. Brett helps me out everytime I am in pain from lifting. He helps address the issue on the spot and gives me things to do on my own. He also teaches me about why/how things work in the body so it is clear to me when I leave. I have been going for about 4 years now.
Brett is the absolute man! Was having knee issues for well over a year and wasn’t sure what the issue was. I then decided to go to Brett for a more in depth analysis of the problem and he was able to identify the source of my pain. Not only did he figure out why the pain was occurring, but he gave me corrective exercises that helped me feel like I was playing a role in my recovery. After only a few days my pain was totally gone and I was able to return to practice and then head off to college, where I compete at a Division 1 level. To this day I still use his exercises to prep my body for movement and exercise and I have been feeling great! I have been working with Brett for over a year in the weight room, which has taken me from entry level in a sport to at the pinnacle level. Not only is Brett great at supporting people, but he is aware of how each person is different. He helped me put together workout and diet plans to help me achieve my fitness goals, and our regular interactions through email and Skype were very useful for keeping me on track and accountable. Even though I've been lifting for many years, I'd never previously hired a trainer and was impressed how a few little adjustments to diet and technique improved my results and made me much less injury-prone. Dr. Scott's dual role as trainer/physical therapist is super valuable especially if you have a history of injuries. I get periodic shoulder pain after having had surgery several years ago and he helped me curate workouts around this. We did a few rehab sessions, which got me into dry needling (which I also highly recommend). I had previously tried a lot of bro science-y diets with questionable results and it was really helpful for me to work with and get direct feedback someone who actually knew what he was talking about. I knew Brett has worked with other lifters in the past and got them working again so that they could compete, and so he was my first option. I ended up seeing Brett twice a week for two and a half weeks leading up to the meet, and I no longer had back pain! I couldn’t deadlift for almost a month prior to the meet, however, given weekly massages, dry needling, and a slew of exercises to regain my mobility, and desensitize my body to the “pain” (overactive pain receptors), I was able to take 3rd in my weight class. Without Brett’s help, I would have had to completely pull out of this meet. When I moved to the area I was looking for a new non-commercial gym. I was looking for a place with a culture of getting better and the equipment with which to make it happen. Shortly after moving to the area I walked into the SBC and was greeted by the owner Bobby. Before discussing prices or anything of the such he gave me a walking tour of the facilities and asked me questions about myself and what I hope to achieve. His interest in his clients and members is genuine. He also does personal training sessions and you can tell from the man's physique he knows what he's talking about. So listen up. The facilities are perfect for improving yourself in anyway you see fit. Here you will NEVER have to wait for a squat rack haha. The gym's equipment definitely caters to the strongman/powerlifting/Olympic lifting crowd but it's not at all intimidating. Bobby has instilled a culture of family and respect. It's a very close community that you will be accepted into almost immediately. Even if I don't know the person someone is always ready and willing to give me a spot or give me some advice. There is also an on site Physical Therapist/Trainer named Brett. After dislocating my shoulder I wanted to get back into lifting heavy so I had a consultation with Brett. He set me down and went over my medical history, went through an examination of range of motion and strength. Then he proceeded to show me exercises to ease back into the lifting world and make sure I don't risk reinjury. It's been a year since the injury and so far so good. Brett also does training seminars and has a YouTube channel you should subscribe to. Also occasionally Bobby/Brett will bring in there dogs. Deadlifts & dogs? Can you ask for anything better? There is no other gym I would rather train at than SBC. It simply has the best equipment, community and personnel. Less

He is extremely caring and thorough. I would recommend anyone I know that needs physical therapy or help with mobility issues or recovery to go see Brett at Barbell Therapy!!
Disrespectful and unprofessional. Even after I cancelled I'm still getting charged the monthly coaching fee with no response from the owner. Avoid.
