My2005 Mitsubishi was practically on life support, and I was unsure whether or not it was worth fixing. Problem was it was difficult finding any mechanic that would do major work on Mitsubishis. Lake County Auto Service said they could do the work but would look it over and advise me if it was worth it. Totally glad I went to them. After inspection, they said it probably wasn't worth it. They could have probably done some work on it, but their honesty lead me to just get another car. P.S. It's a Mitsubishi, but at least I know now where to take it. Less

***Great mechanic*** I brought my car in last week due to a new rattle coming from my engine. Andrew diagnosed it quickly and gave me a reasonable estimate. We have had an intermittent problem with our 2013 Hyundai. We took it to the Hyundai dealership and they told us we needed a fuel pump and the cost was over $1000. We decided to take it to Lake County Auto. They checked the pump and could not find a problem. They found an oxygen sensor code and a lean burn code which were erased and have not returned. They did not charge us a diagnostic fee (as opposed to $170 at the dealership) and were honest with us. Whatever the problem is, it will likely get worse and we told them we would bring the car back at that time. Actually, we will be doing all of our service here in the future. Great folks! Less

I own a 2007 Jeep Liberty with over 200,000 miles and after my engine light came on I of course went in to Panic mode because code reading was Cylinder 2 misfire 2out of 3, well, my first visit was to a Mechanic that went for the money rather then try and fix what could be fixed, they tend to those in their area who have the money to spend i suppose l, so they quoted me a rebuilt engine and went over all things to replace. I then went to Andrew at Lake County and he besides being kind and courteous, he was beyond knowledgeable and told me what he saw initially and from start his honestly meant alot. I do not trust easily bc women sometimes are underestimated when dealing with repairs of Vehicles. However, we moved recently and were looking for service close by that we could confidently go to. Andrew Caruso came highly recommended to us. We brought our car in for brake replacement and got so much more! There was a very loud humming inside the vehicle for a few years now that was a puzzle for everyone we took the car to, so much so that we just had accepted that this car is just going to be that way.
