Requested for a quote over 3 months ago, and then followed up 2 months ago with a phone call and was told I would get a response that afternoon if not the next day.....still waiting!!!! Happy if they did not want to quote on the job, but the decent thing would be to communicate that.

I was very happy dealing with Long Life Gates from the quotation to the installation process of automating my driveway swing gates. They did a very good job which was quite involved. They install quality products, BFT gate operators (Italian made), Centsys keypads and safety photocell beams (South African made, Italian owned company). I would highly recommend Long Life Gates.

Contacted these guys for a quote & have had zero response for weeks. After leaving 1 star initially, Daniel was good enough to reach out to make things right, so I've now amended this to 3 stars. Will amend further when & if required.

I recently had a sliding gate fitted by long life gates. It was a rolls Royce experience from start to finish. Punctually and open communication was a strong point for them. They turned up to quote the gate on the minute of the arranged time, received the quote on the same day, gate fitted on the agreed day and the price was reasonable. Prior to them coming to quote the gate, I had run a 12v cable from the house to the gate area and they were a little concerned about the size of the cable and how far I had run it. I assured them that I had been given good advice from 2 different electricians. (they were not convinced) We were so pleased how good our gate looked on completion and how well it worked with the remote. The next day, the technician came back to do a small adjustment and he was not happy with how the gate was moving. First they changed the transformer on the house 50m from the gate and still, they were not happy. Then they changed the brand of motor at the gate and only then, they were satisfied that the gate was up to there high standard. All of this because of the size and distance of the wire that I ran. They did not charge me a cent extra for the change overs and there time. I highly recommend this company if you are thinking about getting a gate. Cheers Tim Less
