I spoke to James and was sent over a contract in anticipation to sign contracts and book the venue upon the walk through even received a confirmation email earlier that day to confirm the next days meeting only to have James call and tell me they had given the date away to another person whom they scheduled a walk through with that day. A few things here; if the person scheduled a walk through I would assume you would ask as they did me what date I had in mind? Secondly, I would assume that there would be some professionalism in realizing that if you booked a customer that had already provided a date and time your company would have the courtesy to give that customer a chance to book prior to giving the date away. (Update) While, in the midst of completing this review I was contacted by another representative of the company claiming to be management whom commenced to tell me she was attempting to rectify the situation and at the same time tell me to shut up and listen. She continued to tell me that I don't dictate the conversation mind you she called me. The owner then chimed in saying he was in the background and heard the whole conversation yet interrupted saying that I had done a walk through and not left a deposit, only to be corrected by me and informed that the walkthrough was scheduled for tomorrow. There is so much more that can be said about the lack of professionalism and customer service with this company but I will just leave it at if you value your time and want to do business with a company that has morals I would not recommend The Cool Venue. The first and last experience was 0 stars Update: Now your just lying smh! Why would i say im ok with someone taking my date? That sounds crazy to even say. So I guess I said that and then we got here because I just Love your venue that I never saw that much that i cant let it go huh! People pay attention to these practices now they are resorting to lies to shadow bad business practices. If you read my initial review it stated I was scheduled for a walkthru! So now your venue want people to pay deposits before seeing the place then do a walkthru to after? How could I put a deposit down before I saw the venue, which I was scheduled for the following day which you gave away because someone walked in which is why i said you was on a money grab and you or whoever was playing phone snatch with you got offended. Secondly, now your stating that you had this other venue with the same date and was going to offer that but yet the email shows and you stated in your own reply that you offered me a different date so let me guess that was gonna be your third option, cause the first 2 was the 25th and then an apology. Listen there are plenty of bad businesses that operate for years. So congrats, you seem to have a bigger issue with the fact I exposed your bad business practice rather than fixing your booking and first come first serve debacles. You could have left it at your initial response of just apologizing and moving on rather than lie because I have, and found a last minute venue. I can post the party planner who used your venue in the past and said that wasn't the first time she was told about bad dealings! If you have an issue with me giving you a bad review, do better business and stop lying Plain and simple! I stand by the opinion that anyone that would choose The unCOOL Venue take caution and make them your third, 4th, or 10th option because in yout rush to defend only asserted what I said that if someone comes with the money whether you had a walkthru or not your date is gone. With that you can talk to yourself cause I was only a potential customer and based off bad business dont plan to be one, as I stated on the phone that day. You telling me about writing reviews maybe as the "owner" if you stepped away from the computer and focused on your calender, door, and scheduled walkthru's maybe this wouldnt happen. This past Saturday I celebrated 26 years of marriage at The Cool Venue in Edison it holds about 60 people very nice, classy, intimate Venue with an amazing owner and their associates who tries very hard to make sure whoever is renting their space has everything they need. Their prices are very reasonable and they also have cool items you can rent/add on. I highly recommend this Venue!!

For our baby shower, we booked package, which included some decorative items. From the start to finish everything was coordinated really well by James and the team. Event coordinator on site was really helpful. Our guests loved the venue and location. Will definitely utilize this place for the next event whenever that will be.

The venue has had many renovations and upgrades in recent years -- it's beautiful and elegant, with fair and reasonable pricing. We loved using the Cool Venue for our daughters first birthday . We had about 55 guests and the space was perfect for us and our guests. Everyone loved the event as well as the event space . I love the in house speakers which made things so much easier. I simply created a playlist and connected to Bluetooth, no DJ needed ! There were also mics included which was great ! The whole entire space was kept neat and anything we needed was available! We had a mini oven that allowed us to reheat our food, a large kitchen sink and fridge . I loved how the kitchen was closed off so that we could serve food without are guests having to get up. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well . Parking wasn’t an issue at all! I love this location because anything we needed was in close proximity. I could go to family dollar across the street , or even target 7 mins from the place . The only thing I would recommend is having the location visible . A lot of folks passed by before Noticing the building . Perhaps a larger sign or something of that sort . It’s such a great space that more ppl should know about it ! Lastly maybe adding a microwave would also be beneficial! Place is clean, very intimate and chic and can be transformed into whatever you are looking for. I hope to work with her again in the future and I would also highly recommend using this venue for your next event! Fast forward to the day of my event, I was late but she didn’t stress me out about that. Very helpful the day of and asked if I needed anything and was out of my way. As an Event Planner, when working with other Event professionals, my biggest hope is to have things go smoothly. Veronica delivered just that! She was always happy to be of service and was sure to meet all of our needs. The Cool Venue space is absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be working with her again.

I thoroughly enjoyed hosting my event at this venue. It was such a classy space equipped with everything I needed to run my event. And the owner..... absolutely amazing!!!! She takes the time to walk through details with you and provides as much insight as possible!! I really loved working with her. Looking forward to hosting more events here
