I was really looking forward to trying this spot. I called in my order while parked outside, but they said it wouldn’t be prepared until I came in. Once inside, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the space was clean with nice décor. We went with two chicken dinners and a mix of sides: greens, mac and cheese, yams, and rice and beans. First-time tip: scan the QR code on the door before walking in.The food was packaged efficiently, which made everything easy to carry and enjoy. The chicken was the star—crispy, well-seasoned, and even better with their house sauce, which was flavorful and paired perfectly. The greens had a tangy-sweet twist, different from what I’m used to, but tender and flavorful. The yams had a spice I couldn’t place, yet it worked. The mac and cheese had solid flavor but is best eaten hot, and the rice and beans just weren’t for me.For dessert, I tried the strawberry crunch pound cake. Flavorful, but slightly dry, and I would have liked more of the crunchy topping.Overall, the visit was enjoyable, and we’ll definitely return—mostly for the chicken. Next time, we plan to try the Polish Boy.
