This is a unique and very impactful exercise group, and I would highly recommend giving it a try, even if you know you need to do “something” to improve your health and fitness but are unsure what exactly. As stated in many other reviews, Joe is knowledgeable, positive and encouraging. The exercises are constantly changing which is beneficial in more ways than one. I have already noticed a great improvement in my strength, mobility and endurance. I have found it very up-lifting. It's a great way to start the day. My enjoyment of this class was surprising to me, because I don’t typically like “classes”, I don’t exercise outdoors in the cold as a rule, usually don’t care for puns, and though I do tend to wake up early, I usually don’t care to interact with others for the first 30 mins of the day or so. But somehow it works. Just as you are given several modifications for each exercise according to where you are at physically, there is no pressure to interact, the ladies are very nice, and I find Joe’s sense of humor helps make it fun. I was an athlete growing up, but as an adult I have had two different areas of my spine fused and the area between the fusions heavily cut away with a bilateral laminectomy all within a period of a few years. I have very little control and feeling in one foot and it affected my balance and confidence in moving. My strength and mobility was trending badly, I was having to use a grabber to even pick up sticks in the yard. I couldn’t confidently even step up a curve, really. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do any of the exercises, but in my spirit I still had the drive to move and be active. I was done with PT, and I was needing to get involved in some non-medical type of exercise where I would have support and accountability, which was coached by someone who was knowledgeable and could help me work out while avoiding injury. This program has afforded me all of these things and I am already reaching activity milestones I never thought I could after just one 4 week session. Excellent! If I can do it - anyone can do it! Fun, fabulous and uplifting. Getting healthy and making friends at the same time, completely non threatening since it's all women of different ages shapes and sizes, except Joe of course, but he came to the dark side a long time ago and can easily manage to not lose his cool when talking about sweaty female parts!

He plays great music and he is always super positive. In addition, he lets us know about local exercise events and we have the opportunity to be part of his team, helping the community, i.e. the Liz Hurley 5K. Everyone is welcome to join in. Another huge plus is that the ladies in the classes are SO friendly and supportive!! It truly is a tribe of supportive women (and Joe!) who want to be the best versions of themselves!
