Her work made entering my home so much more welcoming. My overnight guests loved staying in the guest room and found it so stylish but extremely comfortable as well. The new owners are now getting to enjoy some of Lindsay’s designs! Fast forward to 2023 when we moved into our new home. The house was lovely but very traditional in style. We were looking to add some modern touches to it. Of course, we called Lindsay as soon as the ink was dry on the contract. We were delighted to work with her again, and by now she had an entire team helping her with the design and project work. It was great to work with Michelle and Jodi on this project. They all kept me informed and made sure the project stayed on track. They transformed our family room, entryway and dining room into stunning spaces. From the onset Lindsay was unorganized and unprofessional and didn’t take much time to understand what we wanted, she seemed more interested in pressuring us to sign a contract and then make purchases. The whole process was just horrible. Communications were haphazard and resulted in numerous errors. There was ZERO regard to the budget and most disturbing was the lack of transparency in managing the large deposits we provided. This should have been an enjoyable experience and it was most certainly not. As soon as we decided to go with a GC other than her two preferred GCs, she became very passive aggressive and ultimately terminated the contract without reimbursement of outstanding deposits. In fact, she was unwilling to provide any reasonable accounting or reconciliations of the funds. I could list so many examples but this review would be too long so basically….WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! In response to your reply: It appears your recollection is far different from our experience. It was I who had to provide you with reconciliations because your invoices were consistently wrong. You stated part of the ordering process was estimated shipping and white glove delivery and once the furniture was delivered you would reconcile and refund any difference. However when it was time to reconcile you wanted me to pay your bookkeeper to receive info in “generic” buckets but refused to provide actuals. This was useless. I believe you over estimate the time you spent in my home. Perhaps if you had listened to what we wanted and not try to push us on things we had refused multiple times, meetings would have been more fruitful but that’s water under the bridge now. Not sure where you got your information but our GC was great and we would highly recommend him. Less

Lindsay and the LK Design team did what we couldn't do on our own due to lack of expertise and taste, and lack of time: completely transform our basement recreation room from a dull, undesigned children's play area to an elegant and functional living space for a busy family that includes growing kids and pets. We loved getting to see the conceptual drawings, work together to make edits, and then watch the design come to life (and to have all of the behind-the-scenes logistics handled). Lindsay was clear and accurate about her design service costs. Our project was not without hiccups, but this is to be expected and we were able to collaboratively address any issues that arose. One unexpected challenge was proposing a budget and then having the final project stay reasonably within budget; while Lindsay was able to accurately budget for her own design services and the costs of furniture, she could not control the project estimates issued by independent contractors. The subcontractor estimates for delivering the designed project were not in line with our overall desired budget. In the end, our space is undeniably beautiful. One day Lindsay came to check on progress and she looked at the paint on the wall and said "nope! that's not right!" She had the eye to recognize the paint color was not exactly what she had proposed, and she remedied it immediately (this is something we wouldn't have appreciated on our own but she was right...the adjustment in paint color made a huge difference). We have been living in the space for several months and have confirmed that it serves our needs. Plus, we have gotten so many compliments from friends and family! Less
