I discovered every student is different and learns at a different pace. While there were things I picked up quickly, other things I had to do at a slower pace. My tween and teen have been taking guitar lessons with Mr. Payton at Guitar School of Texas for over 2 years and they have grown substantially in their musical abilities. Mr. Payton has patiently walked them through finger placement, strumming styles, rhythm, chord progressions, open chords, bar chords, and scales and he applauds their successes and challenges them to move outside their comfort zone.
