I am very glad to have joined Lean Strong Fitness in April 2026 and continue to get to this gym regularly, three times a week, since then. I recognize the importance of resistance/functional weight training, especially as I age, and have tried and failed over the years to sustain a regular practice. In the past I got bored or in a rut very quickly doing the same routine. At Lean Strong, however, my assigned coach meets with me and changes my program monthly, and the personal trainers really teach, support, and challenge me. Though advertised as a gym for over 50s, it is by no means dumbed down. As with any gym or program, consistently showing up matters most. The very friendly "community" atmosphere at Lean Strong helps. You are greeted by name, coming and going, and have your own designated space to workout. The gym is orderly, machine free, and not intimidating. Signing up for sessions is easy. It is not cheap, especially at first when beginners need more personal training sessions, but it actually costs less as time goes on and you learn and grow more independent. I try to consider it an investment of sorts in myself. I have definitely noticed a difference physically but maybe more importantly I feel more hopeful and confident about this aspect of my life. I encourage others to try it.
