Searching for a home in the Port Angeles / Sequim area from Europe was a challenge. We were skeptical of using a real estate agent for our search and even more skeptical about buying a home sight unseen. While trying how to figure out how to go about our search we came across the idea of using a buyers agent to represent us in our search. This is what lead us to Chuck via a YouTube search of Sequim. We listened to a few videos, sent Chuck an email and scheduled a call. Chuck explained the area and real estate market. His experiences in business, law and real estate gave us the confidence to move forward to find a home. Chuck was able to make technology work with live streams for homes of interest. There’s nothing like being there but Chuck made it the next best things. Chuck also did the leg work on issues and solutions on any details of a home and its systems. We didn’t know water/wells were such a large issue in the area, but Chucks experience steered us away from issues. We discovered Chuck while searching from California for local expertise on shoreline erosion issues along the Olympic coast. His knowledge saved us from several million dollar mistakes through his ability to link us to the several available Federal and state sites of historic coastal photos and flood-plain evaluations. Chuck saved us another 50K by devising a bidding strategy for the house we finally bought after a long..long search process that went from the Elwha River to Marrowstone Island. Chuck was exceedingly patient with us, and we never felt any pressure to speed up our decision process. Chuck's long term experience as a realtor also gave us some insight to some of the truly whacky things we were hearing from sellers, and Chuck knew how to comb the records to invalidate the sometime puzzling "facts."
