I had a short conversation with Jay Newport, and I can't imagine a less helpful experience. I reached out for more information on two homes via Zillow. I received texts that me that an agent would be in contact, then three times to two numbers I received a message that I was called but it went to voicemail. I was not called, Jay must have simply clicked through the messages on his end, and lied saying he'd reached out. I tested both lines, and both received calls fine. Then I assume he decided he should make an effort so I received a call at 9 PM on Christmas Eve, which I ignored. Third time he tried making contact, the day after Christmas, he verified that I was interested in purchasing and was fully approved to make a purchase; I wanted to know the state of the homes and potential pitfalls of going FHA, he preceded to come up with reasons to not provide any of the information that was the purpose of his call for the next 5 minutes. I informed him three times that if he was not going to provide information, this call was a waste of both of our times. I had the pleasure of ending the call while he was in the midst of repeating nonsense about why he shouldn't give me information. The man shouldn't be empowered with a phone, it will only encourage his wasting potential buyers time. I won't buy a home which requires interaction with the man. Less
