I took my car in for a simple AC repair. It was a 30 minute job. Everything was good except that the cost was too high. I was charged diagnostic fee and labor cost as well. I complained about it and they said it is something they can't do anything about it. I can't be a repeat customer if you overcharge your first time customers like this .

I needed my left axle replaced and I am so happy that someone sent me Blue Ridge as an option. They did great work and honestly helped to save my life by realizing a mistake another auto shop did on a bolt for my tire. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I know I can trust them with any car needs in the future. 100% referring and using them in the future!!

They are an easy going, friendly knowledgeable bunch! I was told it would take an 1h30 mins to replace my side view mirror, only waited about 45 mins! They even cleaned some of the stuck on paint from the fender accident which they didn’t have to do! It was super nice. Would recommend and would come again for other services!

Patrick is the best. He took his time and explained everything to me and helped me prioritize what work should be done now vs what can wait. Even called me back after we approved the quoted work and found some savings because the access to an area was easier than estimated. 10/10 would recommend. The thoughtful design and attention to detail in the waiting room is evident and something I can appreciate. They are able to corresponded via phone/text. After they inspected my vehicle, I received a text with a link to a detailed itemized list of their recommended repairs that included the cost AND pictures of the parts in question on my actual vehicle. From there, you can approve or deny the work. I was kept up to date on their progress and work was completed on the day they originally estimated it to be done. Communication and transparency throughout was excellent, which is often not the case at other auto shops. It is clear, they strive to make the entire process effortless for the customer which really sets them apart from others. When I picked up my car, everything was explained. I was even shown some of the defective parts that were extracted from my vehicle. Another guy that was there, shared with me, video of my car while it was in the shop being worked on. I worked in a few shops when I was younger…this is a clean, well-run shop. The pricing is fair and mechanical services offered cover the full list. It’s probably been 20 years since I’ve found an auto mechanics shop I would endorse, so I’ve been doing 90% of my own work for a long time. You can go elsewhere, and you might be fine. I recommend you go here though, my new favorite garage.

August of 2021 was the first time we had taken our car to Takis at Optimum. Our daughter and her husband had used Optimum and made the recommendation. My wife and I are both 70 and were going to drive my old 2013 Ford Fusion to Florida to give to our daughter who had recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale. We knew it would be a long and hot trip, and at our age - or at any age - one does not wish to be stranded on the side of the road. I had asked Takis to look over the entire car and to specifically replace the radiator hoses and flush the system just because it was old, and rubber parts don't well stand the test of time. He tried to talk me out of it, but I insisted. I also asked him to check the refrigerant level of the air conditioning system. He did talk me out of that saying that such service was an expense that he thought was not necessary. The folks at Optimum checked all major systems and did find that the rear brakes needed to be replaced. He also recommended that the wipers be replaced, but I declined. Before the trip, I found that the driver's-side wiper was, in fact, not properly attached to the arm and ended up replacing the wipers myself. I have been really happy with the work I've received here at Blue Ridge Automotive. They are to the point and communication is great. I came to Takis with a problem caused by driver stupidity and ignorance. Quickly his staff discovered how stupid I was and turned the car back over to me. I tried to pay Takis for his staff's time but he would not take money. Then he OK's a payment of 1¢ and I cheated him out of that. Thank you for your kindness Takis.

Wonderful service and incredibly fast! I took my car in for my 60k maintenance. Within a day, I was texted/emailed a list of all the recommended repairs with the option to pick and choose, with a cost breakdown for each repair. I received friend phonecalls and communication about the status of my repairs, and a follow up call to make sure I was satisfied. I will definitely return!
