The classes and instructors are incredible. Kara is very skilled at making you laugh while you’re actively suffering! Also attended puppy yoga so this place is obviously 10/10, no notes!

the best gym ever!!! they go above and beyond... every class the energy is always there and best playlist to boot! i had an emergency the other day... i had a car emergency and the front desk heard me on the phone and not only offered to help me but handled it so i could attend class!!! no one does things like that anymore... highly reccomend this gym!!!

Great gym! Very spacious, clean, and well maintained. Lots of equipment. The layout is organized, and the staff does a great job keeping everything in good condition. Highly recommend!

I had a deeply disturbing and discriminatory experience with the owner of Fit Loft Montclair. During the farmers market, she singled me out and demanded that I move my car, even though the lot was largely filled with other farmers market patrons, many of whom were white and were not confronted. When I questioned why I alone was being targeted, she escalated the situation and threatened me.I believe I was treated differently because I am Black. No one should have to experience racial profiling, intimidation, or selective enforcement while simply attending a community event. Businesses are defined by how they treat people, especially when they think no one will hold them accountable.I cannot support this business, and I strongly urge people of color and anyone who values fairness, dignity, and equal treatment to think carefully before spending their money here.

First timer. Went here for a hot yin-yasa slow flow class. I was greeted at the door to blaring rap music from the previous class, I thought surely they will turn it off for a YIN YOGA class - nope, rap music continued on. Also, they allow the other classes to wear sneakers in the studio and then promote barefoot yoga practice, with no cleaning in between classes, so that’s gross and probably infectious. The yoga mats in the class were also laid so close together that I could hold the person next to me’s hand. No no. Horrible experience. Would give 0 stars if I could. Shouldn’t offer yoga classes if they can’t comply by traditional yoga practices.

Out of all of the gyms I’ve been to the staff here are truly kind, nice, and very professional. Dylan‘s group class really makes you feel good and the workouts she teaches are explained in a fun, energetic, and easy to understand way. She truly wants you to push yourself. You don’t get that type of experience at other commercial gyms. Well done Dylan and the rest of the fit loft team! I’ll definitely be back😁

Took a class with Jordan and it was amazing. It was a great mix of strength and cardio, I really enjoyed it and look forward to taking more classes. The gym space also looked great and it's so convenient that they have parking.

Fitloft has the most beautiful yoga space I’ve ever seen—high ceilings, mirrors, and unique touches that make it truly inviting. They even provide Manduka mats, which I love. I took a Vinyasa class and, after 20+ years of practice, I was seriously impressed by the quality. Kara, the owner, is clearly passionate about customer service and it shows. A total gem in Montclair!

I have been going to Fitloft since they opened and even when it was owned by the previous owner when it was called Dfit. I have tried almost every gym throughout the Montclair area and this gym is by far the best in the area. I am a team sports kind of gal, so I need classes to keep me accountable and to ensure I am pushing myself and working out to the best of my ability. Fitloft has an amazing variety of classes and some that are so incredibly unique, challenging and original to them. They have barre-like classes, hip hop classes, hot cardio infused classes, yoga, strength, etc the list goes on and on. Forget Classpass because this gym has everything you need to keep you motivated and get in shape. Not only that, but Kara (the owner) is one of the nicest people and also an amazing instructor. All the staff and instructors are also fabulous. I can't recommend Fitloft enough!

The class schedule is flexible enough to fit my super busy schedule. Kara is super helpful and clearly in the business to help people feel good and get healthy. Highly recommend ✨
