Coaches so far are very knowledgeable. Plenty of equipment from GoRuck sandbags, plenty of rigs. The ability to do the WOD outside is a very high plus side as well. There is a sauna and cold plunge, both are well kept and clean. The programming is great. I’m finishing the WOD feeling like I accomplished what I came no the gym to do. Push myself to get better.

Visited family in Florida a week and dropped in to the Jax Beach location to work out with my brother and sister-in-law. It was a very welcoming environment. Coach Tom was cool and inviting. CF Total was a totally great box to drop in. Coach Tom, Coach Lindsey, and the members were very welcoming to new drop ins. Not only does the gym plenty of rig space for a large class, CF total has all the recovering equipment open to their members and drop in. Highly recommend dropping in CrossFit Total if you are in the Jacksonville area!

I tried their sauna/cold plunge and I am hooked! If you're looking for therapy to help reduce inflammation and give you an energy boost, you should definitely stop by. I recently started CrossFit up in Georgia but my family all still lives here in Jax. Visited for the weekend for a drop in and LOVED the atmosphere. If you are very overweight and out of shape I would suggest starting at a planet fitness or Local Y first before coming here. It can be demoralizing when you’re told you can do something when you can’t or aren’t there yet.

I’ve been going to this gym for about a year and a half. I’ve belonged to other CF gyms in the past and this one is really my favorite. The coaches care and really push you to be your best. My favorite crossfit gym by far. I've been here a total of like 4 years with a little break in between and others just don't compare. The coaches are awesome as they encourage you to push yourself while promoting quality movements and lifts. Definitely in the best shape going here. AND the community is fantastic. I dropped in for a full week and the space was very accommodating. They have an outdoor space and an extra room if you go during their normal class time where you can do other programming. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Great option for out of towners to drop in!

I have been to cross fit gyms in multiple cities and this one is by far the best. The community and feeling in the gym is comfortable but people want to help you grow. Contrast therapy (sauna/cold plunge) is a MUST and a huge benefit. It was the best part of my whole week and I plan to do it regularly.

I’ve been frequenting this CrossFit gym for close to 5 years now and love it! Apart from The amazing community that has been built, there is a constant upgrade of equipment. The newest one being the tub for cold plunge has been a great addition. It aids in muscle recovery after challenging WODs.

I dropped into a few classes while I was in town, and got in a couple of great workouts. The gym itself is huge with a plethora of equipment, and has both an indoor and an outdoor rig. They recently added a cold tub outside as well! I would for sure recommend dropping in if you’re visiting.

This place and the community spirit they’ve got here gets everyone involved regardless of shape,size or skill. I’d very easily give it a 10. Recent addition is the plunge pool and all the rehab facilities they have on station, aiding in the various recovery needs. I look forward to coming back when next in town. Dropped in while visiting family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Everyone was super friendly and the coaches were very knowledgeable. WODS were well programmed and easy to scale for every level. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Joined a little over a year ago. Never been in better shape, never had more mobility, and had zero experience starting our. None of that mattered. Programming is always challenging but always doable. Coaches are top notch and community even better. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Come on out. You won’t regret it.

If you are curious about CrossFit or have been doing it for years, definitely try this place out. Been going here for a few months and love it. Coaching is awesome. Everyone is extremely friendly, and there's always a good turn out for classes (including 6AM) which is great for motivation and makes it fun.

Great Crossfit gym I've been going to for almost a year now. I have seen dramatic improvements in all movements including Olympic lifts and gymnastic movements. The coaching is top notch and all staff are friendly and more than willing to help you. Great Instruction! The instructors are always walking around to help give you tips and keep you safe. Nice mix of us regular people and the uber fit. I never thought I would commit to crossfit until I found Total Control.

The people here are all super friendly and the trainers attentive and focused. My first impression was that there was too much chaos and everyone all over the place. But once you get the hang of things, it's pretty cool.

This is the best box I have ever been to! I started here and have yet to find a place that compares to the quality of training, coaches, people, and everything else! I recently moved and have been trying to find another box and it has been a struggle because CFTC has completely spoiled me! They do EVERYTHING with 100% effort and professionalism all the time! I know exactly what to expect everyday - warm-up, top-notch instruction, coaching and an insane WOD. You get out what you put in, but the coaches are THE BEST I've ever seen and they really optimize your efforts! They are precise and know what their doing. Even if you've been doing Crossfit for 5+ years they will help improve your technique so you PR or avoid injury. They are experts. One is even level 3 certified! Lately, I feel as though I have been doing a lot of independent WODs and and missing my coaches telling me to tighten my core, look straight and not up, squeeze at the top, push harder, don't stop, go lower, add more weight, move quicker, faster elbows, push your head through, etc. I hear Coach Nate perfecting my squat or deadlift, Coach Derek with my snatch and OH, and Coach Tom with just about everything...lol (such a hard ass). These coaches are tough and consistent. They want you to do a movement correctly so they will work with you until you get it. It may suck, you may have the lightest bar, but at least you're doing the lift correctly - and improving - I was always improving thanks to them. CFTC is a great box because of the PEOPLE! I love this place! I have yet to workout as hard, or sweat as much, as this box. They start on time every single day. You can even get there early most days and warm up on your own and stretch and prepare your equipment or use their rollers or do crossover symmetry. They truly provide every opportunity for success and "total control" over your body and fitness; you just have to get there! It's not easy and that's the best part. My body is always improving and I'm always faced with new personal challenges. They have every piece of equipment and plenty of it, at least compared to the places I've been touring. (we didn't have chalk at one place or rings at another, most places are so unorganized or dark and dreary, lots of standing around and not a lot of awesome coaching or instruction. I asked one place if they had chalk or chips for me to keep count of rounds or reps and they laughed like I was asking a lot. Again, CFTC has me spoiled! I was handed a strand of leather with beads attached, btw. Guess I'll bring my poker chips with my knee sleeves and chalk as I continue touring new boxes in the area. Heaven forbid I drew a line of chalk on their equipment and lick the rounds off like Russell! :P That's my favorite way to keep track, too, now!) CFTC has tons of rowers, ropes, bars, boxes, balls, barbells, etc. The layout is open and so spacious! You can go outside or stay inside under the fan. Definitely one of the more welcoming CrossFit boxes I've ever visited on a drop-in, and I've been to a bunch all over the country. The membership is crazy fit and accomodating, too. They had "Barbara" programmed on a Saturday, but since I'd done that workout just two days prior back home -- doing that one twice in three days is a no-no -- the coach quickly set up something different for me on the fly and designated a spot so I wasn't in anyone's way. First time there and it was a great experience. Trainers are great and helpful. Will be back.

I dropped in to Total Control while visiting family and could not have happier with my experience. Gym is spacious, trainers were helpful and outgoing, and members were very accommodating. I will definitely be back on future visits to Jax Beach.

I've dropped into this place a few times now when I'm in town. Awesome box with great programming and great coaches. Huge box with plenty of equipment. Couldn't ask for more!

When I moved to Florida I was picky and knew what I was looking for: A gym with sufficient space, a strength program mixed into their daily programming, OLY club, coaches who not only were knowledgeable but who cared about their people and could articulate info in a way that made sense, and a community atmosphere. When I moved to Florida I was picky and knew what I was looking for: A gym with sufficient space, a strength program mixed into their daily programming, OLY club, coaches who not only were knowledgeable but who cared about their people and could articulate info in a way that made sense, and a community atmosphere. A lot of times we think the grass may be greener somewhere else but when the standards have been met, which they are at CFTC, I think the grass is just greener where we water it, and that part is up to us. Loved the gym! Staff is awesome and they were very understanding when my girlfriend and myself just wanted to come in and lift with the weightlifters. As a weightlifter who travels often it is sometimes hard to find a box that is open to weightlifters dropping in to lift. I would definitely recommend!

Great large open gym with experienced coaches and good programming. Will drop in again if in Jacksonville!

Dropped in here this morning. Great gym with a really welcoming 6am crew. The class was efficiency run and the WOD was fun and challenging. If you're ever in Jax Beach you should definitely drop-in here. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again.

Dropped in from out of town for a Monday morning workout. Coaches and members were very friendly. Started the morning with ten minutes of good stretching, then right to the squats and the WOD. Enjoyed working out outside in the Florida sunshine! I'll be back!

10/10 gym! I dropped in for a Saturday WOD and it was an amazing experience. The coaches were helpful and supportive, and the members at this box were equally as great. The facility is extremely large w enough pull up bars, barbells, and weights to go around for everyone. I highly recommend this gym for anyone regardless of fitness level

Dropped into CF Total Control today for Murph. Coaches and members are awesome....very friendly and welcoming. (Not to mention some great athletes) If you're in jax beach and looking for a place to drop in or a new place to call home, you need the check this place out!
