I’ve been a patient on a maintenance dose, and my experience recently has been extremely frustrating. The programs keep changing and have become unnecessarily complicated. Paying is not the issue at all.The issue is being charged $10 for syringes that are required to administer the medication for supplies that can be purchased at a pharmacy for under $3. I was not asked how many syringes I needed; I was simply told it would be $10 for a pack. Being given medication without the basic supplies needed to use it makes no sense and feels more profit-driven than patient-centered.When I mentioned that I had run out of syringes, I was told that I had been given enough for a “12-week program.” This was confusing, as I am charged based on the amount of medication, not a timeline, and I am on a maintenance dose, meaning I do not inject weekly. The practitioner is aware of this.I only needed two syringes to get me through until my next appointment, which was later rescheduled. That next visit was when I was supposed to review and purchase my next package—yet another membership structure that had been changed. At this point, the repeated program changes, lack of transparency, and added charges for basic supplies feel dismissive rather than supportive. Unfortunately, this experience has made me seriously reconsider continuing care here.
