Guinea Pig Auto Detailing

This was one of the most disrespectful service experiences I’ve had.The detailer claimed he couldn’t complete the package I purchased because there was “hair in the carpet” and tried to justify a $150 upcharge—even though vacuuming is already included. When I questioned this, he repeatedly ignored me and directed his responses to my husband instead.I had to say multiple times: this is my car, I paid for the service, and I am the one speaking to you—please look at me and address me. He continued to disregard that and act as if I wasn’t the customer standing right in front of him.Eventually, he refused to complete the full package and said he would “just do the inside” because he wanted to “take his time.” I agreed, expecting a thorough job. Instead, after paying $300, basic areas like the door pockets and center console were not even cleaned. So what exactly was he “taking his time” on?When it came time to pay, his attitude became even more condescending—he actually asked me if I was “ready to be nice,” after I had spent the entire interaction trying to be heard and treated with basic respect. And after all of that, he still had the audacity to ask me for a 5-star review because he “didn’t want to get in trouble with his boss.” That should have been a concern before repeatedly ignoring and disrespecting the person paying for the service. This wasn’t just poor quality work—it was blatant disregard and unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend.
