She was very rude, pushy, hateful and critical. She was lecturing me about wearing sunscreen (which I do everyday).Then told me what I needed to purchase.I thought this place was in business to help people feel better about themselves not to tear them down and make them cry. I was then asked when was the last time that I was out in the sun and I said this weekend.Obviously she Karen the trainer needs more training on how to be kind. You never know what someone is going through. Karen the owner said well we ask our clients to stay out of the sun 2 weeks before.Keep in mind they called me Friday at 4:15pm and NEVER mentioned this or any precautions to take. They knew that I was a teacher and should have known that we had been outside today (it was 85 degrees) for recess. They went behind closed doors where I couldnt see or hear them to discuss if I should or should not stay. This was so DEGRADING and unacceptable! I live in Oak Ridge and it is a 25 minute drive. I can promise you one thing that I will not make that drive again. Also, somewhat find it interesting that they were able to give away a $700 value service for FREE to CERTAIN clients and be closed the entire day for regular customers that were not chosen. BEWARE!!!!!My husband did call and speak with Karen the owner and informed her of how upset and wrong this was.This may be an unpopular opinion but the truth. I don’t usually leave reviews but this is something that I have to be honest about and hopefully will provide caution to others. I got my masseter’s done and my experience was a complete nightmare. I was really excited and hoping that my service at glow aesthetics would be better but I am disappointed that it wasn’t. I initially was serviced and injected by Naomi in my masseter’s and that caused me to have a hematoma and bruising, discomfort essentially my masseter was sore to touch. I called Glow to speak with Karen because I was concerned about the pain that I was experiencing. Karen wasn’t available to chat so I spoke with Naomi who was very apologetic and admitted that she felt like she had injected me to deep in my masseter so she offered to leave me some ointment at the front desk. I went to pick up the ointment and spoke with Karen in person in regards to my concerns and the clenching that I was still experiencing. Karen at that time, I felt like she acknowledged my concerns and she advised me to allow more time for the pain in my masseter to resolve itself and to follow up the following week, in which I did, I also agreed to make an follow up appointment with Karen. I noticed that the soreness in my massetter muscle on the surface of my face had gone away however I was still experiencing pain inside my massetter muscle because anytime I would open my mouth or yawn my muscle would hurt. I called in to cancel my follow up appointment to give myself some more time to heal from the pain and soreness. Karen calls me on the phone and I felt like her tone over the phone was condescending and completely disrespectful. I was told that she felt that my pain was something that I’ve always suffered from (Which is completely untrue) and she disagreed and challenged me about Naomi initially injecting me to deep in my massetter muscle (in which that’s why I had a instant hematoma) . Karen then said “What is it that you want me to do because I just want to move on and put this behind me”. Karen stated that she felt like she didn’t need to reschedule my appointment and pretty much made me feel sad. I’ve been to other med spas in the triad, CAMI & Advanced Laser & Skin Rejuvenation and they have NEVER treated me like this they. They treated me I was family. The only reason I decided to get services done at Glow aesthetics is because of Lindsey, Lindsey had did services on someone I know and I loved their results! According to Karen, Lindsey is no longer with them and isn’t welcomed within certain feet of the this med spa. I literally paid $400 plus at this med spa just for nothing.
