When I enrolled in The Reshape Method, I knew that I needed to change my exercise regime to support my body, but I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Dealing with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia throughout my adult life had left its mark on my 53-year-old body. It dawned on me though, that due to misalignment, I hadn't been getting maximum benefits out of my yoga routine. Following Tracy's program daily, I started to see small changes. Not visibly noticeable, but certainly unmistakable. Working in retail, standing all day, I noticed fewer backaches, diminished foot discomfort, and an increased ability to stand still for more extended periods without triggering fibromyalgia pain. It very quickly made a huge difference to my strength and motivation, and it made absolute sense to enroll further, on to her 12-week Reshape Method Programme. On it, there are weekly challenges, goals and awareness points; tonnes of info to devour: sleeping/eating/footwear specifics, habits, motivations, how to move well across the day etc. There are brilliant, slow and non-sweaty workouts (video) that you engage with every week, dealing primarily with fine-tuning alignments across the body; and weekly group calls where Tracy gets to show/clarify any difficulties that people get stuck on. Along with some 1-1 time with Tracy - which were pretty special - I found her programme to be really rich, interesting and generous. I lost 5 inches in my waist, I was sleeping better, my energy/motivation levels shot up, and I was properly engaging/moving my body across the day without needing to go to the gym. The programme has kind of changed my life, and I am just so much more aware of how my body moves now! It's fab! Tracy is kind, empathetic, and full of warmth and nurture. I have finished the 12 week Reshape Method program and wow has it been life changing for me! I have suffered from lower back pain, knee and foot pain, and leg cramps for over 25 years, and only being in my 40’s I was struggling to walk up and down the stairs because of my pain. I was thinking if I feel like this in my 40's what going to happen in my 70's! I had to do something about it. I even certified as a yoga teacher as I thought it would fix everything, but even with yoga, I was restricted in my movement and flexibility because of the pain I was in. I tried everything, and had adjustments with a chiropractor, physiotherapy, acupuncture, tried swimming, saw a podiatrist, and even had a personal trainer and have been going to the gym for over 20 years, but nothing worked, and now at 48 years old I thought my health and fitness was going to deteriorate even more until I met Tracy Seider on the walking challenge earlier this year. Within 5 weeks of starting the program, I noticed a huge change in my shape, and the pain subsided in my lower back, knees, and feet and even lost weight and my bloated stomach was gone! The pain in my knees, lower back, and feet has gone, and can now walk up and down the stairs with ease. Weight loss was not even a goal of this program and I lost 3kg in 4 weeks without dieting or doing intense cardio. The walking module is a game changer and will change the way you walk forever. The 12 weeks give you a progressive approach to building a solid foundation for long term change. What I loved about the workouts is the corrective exercises and magic moves and Tracy has so much knowledge about biomechanics which I feel is the missing piece in all health and fitness programs. She teaches you from a whole body muscular and skeletal perspective and has so much knowledge on anatomy and love how we are taught through anatomy in all the moves she takes us through in the workouts. She also explains how you should be stacking your body, what you should be feeling and which muscles should be engaged, and where you should be feeling stretches. Even a slight tweak makes all the difference, and Tracy consistently does this with every movement exercise. I love the accountability and the community, and the weekly Q&A calls, where you have the option to attend and take a hot seat, and Tracy will check your alignment and movement and correct you whilst you are live on the call. The 1:1 coaching sessions that come as part of the 12 week program are gold. My feet, knees and hip used to be in pain while walking, upon waking, and even sleeping. Within days I noticed an improvement in my foot pain in the morning and I could actually sleep on my hip without taking pain meds. As well, I was not awakened in the middle of the night by pain. My leg does not ache while walking and I am not limping part way through my walk. The alignment tweaks have improved my mobility and lessened the pain. Don’t get me wrong, there are still days I feel pain as I have nerve damage which has created numbness in my back, chronic pain and inflammation. However, I move better and on the days things are flaring up I know how to fix the issues with what I learned in Tracy’s wonderful program. I don’t have to suffer with the pain. I can hardly find words to describe, how AWESOME this program is! This is really "too good to be true"!!! I was suffering from strong pains in my hips, knees and feet for three years. I was going to an osteopath, and different doctors (they gave me painkillers...), made the screening of my whole body, had a private pilates coach and tried varied online programs and had ZERO results! Well, painkillers worked, but I stopped after 30 days... :D After following Tracy's program for one month my pains reduced so much, that I COULD SLEEP ALL NIGHT without waking up from a burning pain. I could go hiking, run after a bus, carry my 4 years old child and do other crazy things, that healthy people do... :D I think Tracy deserves some kind of award!!! I was lucky enough to participate in the 'Draw the Line' Alignment session with Tracy yesterday. Tracy was thoughtful, attentive, remembered my concerns and questions that I had previously discussed with her. She was able to quickly and clearly explain to me several alignment issues that I had not previously been aware of. She discussed the reasoning and importance with me, and gave me two corrective exercises to try. I felt changes in my body and pain levels almost immediately, when dealing with chronic issues for which I have not been able to make much progress. I am excited to continue to work with her. Less
