I hired Melissa to work with an older adult client who was reluctantly downsizing, moving from his house of more than 30 years to a two-bedroom apartment. The task felt insurmountable to him, and Melissa and her team's sensitivity and care to his needs was exceptional. They made suggestions regarding items to move, replace, or declutter but always ensured that my client felt the agency to make the decision best for him. Melissa coordinated all elements of the process - from packing, arranging the installation of a banister in the new home, hiring and overseeing the movers, unpacking and organizing the new space, purchasing organizational items, hanging pictures, and researching and recommending new furniture. Her move management and organizational expertise made the process easier than anticipated, and I would not hesitate to hire her again!

We loved working with Melissa to organize our living room and kids room to make them more functional, organized, and clean! We don’t have a ton of space…but we have a ton of stuff! Melissa and her team knew just what to do from categorizing all of our toys, books, and clothes. We sorted through them quickly to decide what to keep, toss, and donate. Melissa also made two trips to the store to get product to organize our stuff even further. My daughter squealed with excitement upon seeing the space and my son went right into playing with toys that were previously buried. Can’t recommend Melissa enough! Thank you!

The project addressed a long-standing need, and the finished space is functional, tidy, and something I’ve been able to maintain well since.What I appreciatedQuality of work: The organization is thoughtful, with logical layouts that make everyday use easier.Outcomes: I’ve kept the space organized for quite a while now, which is exactly what I wanted.A note on billingDuring the project, I was charged for a one-hour lunch break on a four hour projects Independent contractors aren’t typically paid for lunch breaks and it was never discussed. If a break is needed, it should be accounted for appropriately. We discussed the total hours before the work concluded but she still billed for the lunch break, after I flagged it I brought it to her attention and reimbursed me.My recommendation for future clients: carefully review the invoice and confirm the billing for breaks before or during the service. If something doesn’t align with your understanding of the agreed hours, address it promptly to avoid confusion.Overall verdictI’m satisfied with the results and have been able to maintain the organized space with minimal effort.
