Our upstairs water heater broke and leaked into our family room. We called Robert and explained the situation and he was very responsive and put us as a priority. We were able to get a new heater (pro grade not some cheap Home Depot / Lowes model) and installed the next day. He even added some preventative features that will make it safer. A couple of weeks before Christmas this year, we discovered that we had water beneath our flooring. We contacted Master's Touch based on some of the local reviews we had seen. Robert came out that same night and identified that we had a leak from a copper pipe under or in our slab. Little did we know that this leak would lead to a week's long saga of trying to find where it originated. We had a leak detector out three times, and ultimately needed to basically let the whole bottom floor of the house flood for the leak detector to find the spot. As you can imagine, this ruined almost all of our flooring downstairs, but we didn't really have an option to be able to find where it was coming from. After a couple of attempts to get at the spot which seemed to be hidden in a concrete beam, we decided to do a pipe reroute and basically cut off the copper pipes feeding the sink that these were leading to. The reroute was complicated. There are large structural beams in the area that the pipes needed to run through. Robert and Elias were able to find a way to run them that wouldn't cause any structural damage. We are still recovering. We had already spent a lot of money on Christmas when this happened. We hired a remediation company that was incredibly expensive and honestly we could have done what they did ourselves. What I really needed was a plumber I could trust and Robert is a damn good one. He was relentless trying to find the leak. He was here over and over, more like a partner and not a contractor; to help see us through this situation. He was fairly priced and he went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with some of the little things that you don't think about as your mind is spinning from a situation like this. He did things the right way, even making the call himself to come back and fix something better than he did the first time because he wanted it done perfect. At the end of the day, I have a plumber that I can call that I know will give me fair assessment, pricing, and do great work and that's a great thing to have. Sold us on a tankless and installed it that same week in one day. Robert was great explaining everything and cared for the care of the unit and the customer. One draw back was the hindsight of asking if any other work would be needed… which is an electrician to hire to put in an outlet. That cost was not around $100, but over $300-$500. Never updated the other snag: We had a hole that needed drywall and paint and called Robert to send out his guy he said would do it. (“ we’ll send out our guy to patch the drywall and paint”). The guy came and was late and tells me what all he’ll have to do and tells me how much it would be. Asked him if Robert was going to cover that expense because it was talked over before the job, during the and after the job like it was part of the entire project from tear out of old tank, installing of new, patching wall and clean up/ haul away. Just as I am talking to this man Robert cruises down the street in his truck and I flagged him back. Robert tells me that was never his intention and we can get other quotes from other people. After much negotiation and turning down deals Robert paid for the patch and paint. Get everything in writing and don’t rely on the estimates of what other contractors will charge for work, he’s way off.
