This is the first time we decided to knock our old house down and build a custom home on Jackson Lake. We needed a lot in a new home - we were combining 3 families into one. Jason and Jessica really listened to our must haves and worked their magic to give us everything we needed in one house and it was a lot. Four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 2 living rooms and a wonderful mancave later we have something to be so proud of to live in the rest of our lives. And there was some special items that we had like a custom doggy door at the front door, a side fishing room and our little girls room was so special! After an extensive search for a builder who can design and build a quality custom home, we found J &J Custom Homes. This was our first “completely” custom build and the process is grueling to say the least. We decided to go with J&J after they allowed us to view some of their projects in flight. I was impressed at how knowledgeable Jason was about building homes. His whole team totally ROCKED!! Everyone was patient, kind, and willing to go the extra mile to get our custom home built! One thing that I appreciated the most was that J&J allowed me to pitch in on the build from start to finish. The communications from J&J were spot on. They would relay good, bad, and worse without hesitation. This is critical to building homes as a simple mistake could cost a ton. When we first called Jason about building our house we liked him right from the start. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. We already had a house plan but not every aspect of that plan was practical for our family. Jason helped customize our plan to meet our needs as well as customizing the exterior to meet our vision. As with any major project there were bumps along the way, but Jason was very responsive in smoothing out the bumps and navigating us through our house building journey. Working with Jason, Jessica, and their team was a great experience. I’ve not met many people who would say they would use the same builder again if they had the choice, but we would definitely use J&J Custom Homes again. We built our house during the COVID pandemic, and this greatly affected the prices and the availability of materials and labor. In spite of these challenges, J&J Custom Homes built for us a beautiful, well-designed, well-built home exactly as we wanted it. Jason and Jessica were wonderful to work with.
