Brettso the Great is a true professional. I have hired him for 2 different birthday parties at my home in Los Angeles. I hired him for my daughter's 5th birthday party, and he was such a hit that my younger son requested Brettso for his 4th birthday party. Brettso's magic act is tight, organized, funny, silly, and totally family-friendly. He entertains the kids but he never scares them or talks down to them. His magician "character" is silly, easily flustered, goofy, and makes lots of "mistakes" that the kids get to "correct." The kids are literally rolling with laughter throughout the show. At one point my son literally shouted, "How are you so funny, Brettso?!?" During the show, he calls up the birthday kid to be his assistant, and also has participation opportunities for a few other kids too. Brettso's act is welcoming and appropriate for kids and families of all cultural backgrounds. Brettso concludes his show with balloon twisting. Our parties had kids aged 2-10, as well as adults, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Booking with Brettso is a breeze. He shows up early, is well-prepared, and brings tons of materials with him. As a mom of young kids, I've actually seen quite a few birthday party/public library magicians, and Brettso is the best I have seen. Hosting a kid birthday party can be a lot of work! We had Brettso The Great for our son’s 6th birthday party. He was amazing with the kids and both the kids and grown-ups absolutely loved him! Everyone was engaged and laughing. The kids had a blast! His show was a hit! Brettso was always responsive, called, emailed and sent a letter to confirm. On the day of the birthday party, he was very punctual, professional, organized, and hilarious! He was so accommodating and was gracious enough to stick around for an additional half hour to make sure all the invitees had a great time (as there were few kids who were late to the party on a Saturday morning!). Brett's performance at my 5-yr-old's birthday party was amazing!! His tricks and jokes were easy for kids to follow, yet he managed to keep their attention (and grown ups') the whole time. It was great to see the kids laugh so much and really enjoy the show. He was still in character during balloon twisting and still entertaining the kids as they line up for the balloons.
