We were extremely happy with Jonathan and the training he provided for Toby. I truly felt that he went above and beyond what we expected.Toby was only about 3½ months old when he started training with Jonathan. After spending four weeks with him, Toby came home noticeably better behaved and much more responsive to commands. One thing that especially impressed us was that Jonathan taught Toby the “Let’s go” command, which gets Toby to stop what he is doing, leave an area, and follow us. We use it to keep him out of the kitchen, and it works extremely well. When Jonathan brought Toby home, he spent a couple of hours with my wife going over everything Toby had learned and showing her how to reinforce the training at home. We really appreciated the time he took to make sure we understood how to continue working with Toby.Jonathan clearly cares about the dogs he works with and puts a great deal of time and effort into their training. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated dog trainer.

Johnathan is excellent with dogs! My husband and I call him the dog whisperer. He truly understands dogs and their behavior. Jonathan has made a huge impact with our dog. Two families in our neighborhood have used him plus family members and everyone has been very happy with him!

If you are looking for a trainer who truly understands the heart of a dog, I cannot recommend Young's Dog Training enough. We sent our rescue puppy to him for a board and train program because we were struggling with some difficult behaviors like resource guarding, fear of other dogs, and a habit of stealing items around the house. With three kids at home, we needed a solution that was safe and strictly focused on positive reinforcement. Jonathan delivered exactly that. He does not use shock collars or harsh corrections, which was a non-negotiable for our family. In my experience, Jonathan was more focused on the training itself than on the digital side of things, which I appreciated. We got a few communications (pictures/texts) throughout our dog's training, and the results spoke for themselves. It was clear his attention was entirely on our dog's progress. Our puppy is a far better dog since he came home. We can clearly see the progress and the positive changes in his temperament. Most importantly, one of our children who was a little fearful of the dog is no longer so, and they get along beautifully now. We could not be more thankful for the peace this has brought to our home. What really sets Jonathan apart is the time he spent with us. At the end of the program, he spent hours patiently teaching our whole family how to handle our dog to best maintain everything he had learned. He did not just "fix" the dog; he trained us to be better owners so the transition back into our house was smooth. He had also reached out via text in the weeks and months since our dog's training and held one follow up appointment to see how our puppy is retaining what he learned (and give us some pointers).I also have to mention the kind of person Jonathan is. While our dog was in his care, we had a serious illness in the family. Jonathan was incredibly caring and professional, allowing us to extend our time with him to ease our burden during a very difficult month. He truly went above and beyond when we needed it most. We have already booked him again for a future vacation, and plan to for training refreshers as well.

Jonathan is really helpful and professional. He is the expert of the dog training and behaviors. We worked with him for my 4YO goldendoodle's dog-dog reaction and loose-leash walking. The results turned out very good especially when training an adult dog is harder than the puppy training. The most important thing is my dog adores him! He followed up with us even after we completed the training packages. I highly recommend him!

We’re so thankful for the incredible support and guidance Jonathan has given us during a very challenging time with our puppy. Our puppy wasn’t your typical training situation. Our pup was struggling with growling that overtime lead to biting, and we were feeling lost and overwhelmed. What made the biggest difference was how he helped us understand what our puppy was trying to communicate through body language and emotional cues. He didn’t just train our dog, he taught us how to listen, observe, and respond with empathy and clarity. It’s been a journey that’s required real work (that we are still working on). There were moments when we didn’t know if we were doing things right, and it felt like progress was slow. But with his steady support and encouragement, we’ve started to see meaningful shifts in our puppy’s behavior. Those small breakthroughs have been incredibly rewarding and have given us hope. We’re still in the thick of it, but knowing we have his expertise and kindness to lean on makes all the difference. His approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and he deeply cares. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone facing behavioral challenges with their dog. He’s not just a trainer; he’s a true partner in this puppy journey.

Jonathan knows his stuff! Well read and true understanding of current positive training techniques and dog psychology. We had a destructive cockapoo and he helped turn his attitude around and get him back to a playful pup!

Jonathan did a wonderful job with our 9 week old Labradoodle puppy. We enrolled him in the Board and Train program for four weeks and would highly recommend, especially given the time and energy Jonathan puts into training his dogs!

Jonathan is a wonderful, thoughtful, thorough and compassionate trainer. Our Nash was so lucky to have the opportunity to spend his train and board with him. We are so thankful we found him and he provided a safe, fun, supportive and successful training for our 5 month old puppy. He is doing wonderful, we would definitely recommend him and use him for any future training.

We've used Jonathan for individual training sessions and a 15 day board and train for our high energy lab puppy and have been impressed with the results. The redeeming value with Jonathan's training is his ability to communicate with us as pet owners so we can continue the training on our own. He gives us resources to use, is patient, and always allows for questions to make sure we understand what is needed of us and how we can continue with what he has already laid the foundation for. Jonathan is prompt, communicates well, and engaged with our puppy very well. There's a big trust factor in leaving your pet with someone for 15 days and we were put at ease through the whole process. I would highly recommend his services for your pet.

Johnathan is a fantastic dog trainer! He is very knowledgable and dedicated to what he does. I also felt incredibly comfortable knowing that my dog was in somebody's home getting lots of love and attention and not a big facility. Johnathan also gave us updates throughout Levis stay which was also comforting!

Hi, i took my very rambunches cocker spaniel to youngs training, when we started he was 5 months old. Bandit grew in so many ways while I learned better ways to train him. I loved the very gentle approach of training. Bandit was scared of alot of things and I learned ways to manage his fears and concerns so he could feel safe. I'm still applying my knowledge and working with him. I highly recommend these classes. I plan to sign up again after winter to learn more since Bandit will be older.

Jonathan was amazing with our dog and with us! Our dog learned a lot and so did we! He made sure he went over the why’s and when’s for what Ollie should be doing and that we understood the reasoning behind it and how to make it work in our daily life!

2023-11-14T16:04:48.321Z

Jonathan was great! He took such good care of our puppy. He takes the time to train the pup and time to educate the owners not only how to continue to train the pup at home but also the why about the pups breed and behavior. I highly recommend Jonathan’s services.
