I contacted The Hidden K9 as a last resort after eight difficult months with our reactive Malinois/GSD, who my partner and I had adopted from a rescue organisation. We both have experience handling large and sometimes difficult dogs, and although we had made progress in certain areas, the reactivity felt intractable. Over the next two hours, we calmly walked past cyclists, pedestrians, and other dogs, situations that previously would have been difficult to manage. His approach focuses on understanding the dog’s internal state and addressing the underlying cause of the behaviour, rather than just managing the outward signs.There is still a lot of work ahead, but with Colin’s continued support, we are confident of seeing further improvement in our dog’s behaviour in the weeks and months to come.

I have just gotten off the phone with Colin and had already given me advice and clarification with how my puppy and her mother are like when they play with each other to make sure they are displaying normal behaviour which they are which I am glad other for sure. We asked for Colin’s help to address our two dogs’ reactivity. I was apprehensive about possibly being told off or lectured, but Colin immediately put me at ease. He gave tailored, practical support in the run up to and during a face to face session. He provided a programme for us to follow to build on that. Colin was absolutely amazing! I've been struggling with my dog for a while now with resource control and constantly barking at me.
