I have been on a journey to be healthy and lose weight... itās a long one. Iām 51 and itās not as easy as it used to be. I am grateful for Danny. He has been so wonderful in getting me thru this. It was way past time I worked on myself. I have grand babies now. They are my motivation, as is having fun adventures with my other half, Ernie. So much to see and do with them all. Canāt cut any of that short.Last year I found myself grappling with news from my doctor I didnāt want to hear out loud. I already knew it, but now the diagnostics were confirming it. I was angry with myself. Iām in the medical field and have educated so many people about their health for many years. But, I wasnāt applying it to myself, not entirely at least. So, I found myself 1 appointment away from scheduling gastric weight loss surgery . Now I was desperate. Itās like I was quitting on myself. This was fixable without surgery. But, it was, in My mind, a last ditch effort to fix myself and change those diagnostic results. I sat my children down and told them my plans. They were not happy with what I was about to do , because they know me. I donāt quit easy. And so, ....my precious daughter , said āMom, before you do that please call Dannyā ... she knows him well. He worked with her when she was in high school and she did so great.Years later , here I am. Heās helping me now. And I could not be happier. Down 25lbs even with newly gained muscle and just feeling so much stronger. I feel good. Still have my mishaps with food and wine but Iām working on that. Menopause is in my way. But it wonāt win. It will not.Danny is an amazing support. Our family has benefited from his knowledge and guidance. He deserves all the kudos in the world.I only ask that everyone leave him time for me. I still need him. š
Danny would be proud. He said I should journal. I think I just did.
