It was a great first class! I’m getting back into a rhythm after an injury during deployment last August, so I’ve been cautious about pushing myself. For months, I stuck to low-impact activities, but this class at CrossFit Portum helped me feel comfortable moving beyond that.The encouragement and genuine care from the coach were much appreciated - she constantly checked on my form and breathing, making sure I wasn’t overdoing it. I never felt rushed or pressured to hit my max; instead, the pace was thoughtful and adaptable to my needs.What stood out most was how she made my daughter feel comfortable too. When my daughter was struggling with some of the reps, the coach didn’t just offer words of support - she joined in and did the exercises alongside her, which really boosted her confidence. The whole experience felt welcoming and motivating, exactly what I needed to start rebuilding my strength.
