Elite progression is not only about fitness which don’t get me wrong is a major part and you work very hard, but you also become part of a family, where everyone from the coaches to fellow members (friends) that encourage each other to succeed in their individual personal fitness journey, they help keep you accountable so you succeed. For example if your MIA for a couple days your getting a text checking on you to make sure your ok. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced athlete. 20 years old or 70 years old the coaches at elite progression take the time to get to know you and your skill levels and modify the workouts that will work best for you. (there is no here’s the workout good luck) The coaches give you one on one training so you understand all the movements and the proper form, this is so you don’t get frustrated or feel defeated that you can’t do something, they never let you fail they only want to see you succeed. This is also why classes are kept small here so it’s like having your own personal trainer and believe me they watch and see all if your doing a movement wrong they come right to you and correct it, Another thing about Elite Progression is that there’s a different workout everyday so it never gets boring. I have been member of Elite Progression-CrossFit Mahopac since July 2014. Though some people have their criticisms of CrossFit, I didn't know much about it. When the opportunity arose to take a class during "Guest Day” I did, unsure of what I was getting into. I haven't looked back since. I was hooked! What hooked me was and continues to be the environment that Eli Capel, owner & head coach, has created. The box is warm, welcoming and judgement free. While the coaches may gently push athletes to achieve a personal best, equally important, if not more, is the health and safety of each athlete. Having suffered a bad fall in the snow during the winter of 2015, and going through months of physical therapy, where I was told I would not regain full range of motion. Eli and his team did what physical therapy couldn't do, helped me regain full range of motion. Through it all, the coaches and athletes have been supportive and caring. I have always enjoyed exercise and have tried different types of workouts - but nothing seemed to stick. CrossFit is sticking. I am in the best shape of my life and stronger than I have ever been. This is the best gym I have ever been to! Amazing coaches, great workouts and most of all, this place has a wonderful group of people that are supportive and caring! Working out can be tough for a lot of us but this gym really helps motivate you to do your best and not give up.
