My wife and I dropped in on a Thursday morning. What a great all-around experience! This is easily one of the best if not the best box so far (incidentally, we have travelled quite a bit visiting both international and various different state locations). We were greeted by a very engaging instructor who gave us an impromptu tour of the facility. It is exceptionally clean and the equipment and weights are new and well maintained. The atmosphere is so encouraging. The music was filtered not to have any inappropriate songs. The lingering after-effect was just so positive. If we decided to move to this area, there is absolutely no question that this would be our gym of choice.

The best gym/ community you could ask for. I've been with Mentality for just over a year, and the coaches and other members are amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and offers a supportive environment. I've been to a few other crossfit gyms over the years, but Mentality is unbeatable.

When I first approached the humble facade of CrossFit Mentality, tucked away in an unassuming industrial park, I didn’t know what to expect. I had only a vague idea of what CrossFit consisted of, but a deconditioned body begging to be whipped into shape compelled me to push my nerves aside - and I am so glad I did. The gym opens up into a surprisingly large space that is bright, clean and well-outfitted. I was immediately met by friendly and patient staff who walked me through my first WOD with respect for my abilities. The Panchiks have created an inviting, world-class facility with a top-notch coaching staff and - most importantly - an environment without judgment in which people of all skill levels can grow at a pace comfortable for them. I have been attending for six months now, and as I feel my stamina and strength improve every week, I can say I happily look forward to many years at this facility!

Great place for a drop-in! I was in the area for work and hope to come back again. The facility is top notch and so were the folks there. I felt very welcome and got a great workout. Wish Mentality was in my town!

I’ve been a member at CrossFit Mentality for close to two years now and it’s best gym in the area. The coaching staff is caring and knowledgeable and they’re learning from one of the best in the sport, Scott Panchik. They have more than enough equipment and space, plus they’re always updating the gym to better serve their members. The staff strives to make everyone feel comfortable regardless of skill or fitness level. I was far from great shape when I started and they helped me get my health to the best state it’s ever been. I can’t recommend this gym enough.

I spent a week in Painesville/Mentor and did a weekly membership. Scott, his coaches and members were awesome- they made me feel welcome each day. Scott set a great example, and it filters down to his staff and members. Should I ever be in the area again I will definitely come back!

I am coming up on 2 years at CrossFit Mentality and it has truly changed my life( mentally and physically). I am doing things that I never thought I would be able to do. They challenge you everyday with making sure that you are moving with good form and purpose, & if you can't do a movement they adjust so that you still get a good workout in. I cannot recommend this community enough. I have other family members that love it just as much. Give it a try, you wont regret it!

I am new to CrossFit and I thought it would be intimidating. Scott, his entire staff and all of the participants have proven me completely wrong. I have never felt so welcomed than at Mentality. Everyone introduced themselves to me and everyone always says “hi” or “good workout” with big smiles. Mostly, all the coaches and all of the other people at Mentality are so helpful and consistently give me advice, encouragement and suggestions with absolutely no judgment. It truly feels like a family and I look forward to my continued growth in CrossFit with these incredible people. Doug

Great coaches and programming. Nursed me back from a shoulder injury with many mobility and alternative lifting suggestions. Coaching staff all took an interest in helping me improve, and not just me, but all of the athletes at CF Mentality. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to go from injury to ok, ok to good, or from good to great!

I was in town for a few days and dropped in for a class, the staff was so kind and helpful. As well as all the people in the gym made me feel right at home. When ever I am in town I will definitely be back at Crossfit Mentality.

I currently live in California, but am originally from Mentor, OH, so I frequent coming home a few times a year. Crossfit Mentality is my go-to box when I'm in town. I am a seasoned Crossfitter and have gone to many other Crossfit gyms over the years. Crossfit Mentality is without a doubt one of the best run gyms with great coaching and a fun community. I even got my parents (who are in their 70s) to be members to help keep them active, improve their strength, and enhance their health and wellbeing. The members always make me feel welcome either by saying hello or introducing themselves. It's clear that the owners have built a positive atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of times for classes throughout the day, and the schedule has 15 min buffer time between class, which I appreciate, so I do not feel rushed out after class is over. They also offer 24/7 access, which is nice to be able to use the gym at anytime. If you are looking for a box, you will not be disappointed with Crossfit Mentality. Great coaches, great facility, great owners.

I drive an hour to go to class at CF Mentality using their punchcard membership and I follow the programming on the Stream app. There are closer more convenient options for gyms but none with the proven track record of the staff at Mentality. Whether you're working with someone as decorated as Scott or one of the other coaches I'm completely confident in their guidance. They're always happy to help and I know I hassle them with more questions than most. The members and staff provide a very comfortable welcoming experience. Teenagers to retires can get a lot out of this gym.
