Fantastic classes, organisation and welcoming community. I was unsure about cross-fit before stepping into OL1. However, after only a couple of sessions I felt right at home and my fitness, strength & mentality has improved significantly already. I haven’t looked back since! Fantastic gym, fantastic coaches. The classes/sessions are well thought out with great explanations and the intensity is always high. There is a great community at this gym and everyone makes you feel welcome. The app they have is easy to use to book your sessions and also track your workouts. It feels like home 🏡, a place where you feel welcome and keen to return the next day. Friendly environment, clean, spacious and well ventilated, with new kits. The classes are challenging but you feel a sense of accomplishment by the end. The coaches are there to support and guide you at all times. OL1 is my Monday to friday date.

Personally can’t speak highly enough about the gym or the staff. It’s not even just a gym it’s such a community that they’ve built at OL1. The BEST gym, there are so many options for all abilities, with fantastic facilities all fully kitted out! everyone is so welcoming met so many amazing people through the gym, and there are always extra things going on outside the gym too to get involved in!

This is a wonderful gym with a friendly, family feel to it. The owners, Danielle and Sam are two of the nicest people you’ll meet - and Rob (one of the coaches) too. In fact, everyone I’ve met there have been very welcoming and supportive. A great bunch, in a tidy, modern facility not far from the centre of Oldham. OL1 is an fantastic place with a great atmosphere. The sessions keep exercise interesting and fun and keep you motivated to be stronger, fitter and healthier. The coaches make sure you have a good technique and give guidance on all exercises. Basically it's fab and I love it!

Can’t speak highly enough about this gym. Training in a group setting helps push me and keep me motivated. Taken part in the CrossFit and Hyrox classes as well as the Look Good Feel Good Nutrition programme. Supportive teammates and coaches provide that extra encouragement at every class! Great gym, great staff, great coffee

Been at CrossFit ol1 for 7 years now. Couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather be in my fitness journey. It's a 2nd family.

I have just completed my second block of the mum and baby gym classes and successfully lost a stone of my baby weight in 12 weeks. It’s not only a great work out but also provides childcare so you can have uninterrupted sessions which I’ve struggled to find at other gyms. The coffee shop attached is also a great place to sit and chat to other mums at the end of each session.

At the heart of CrossFit OL1 is the community. I've made friends for life here, often socialising out of the gym however, since the opening of The Bean Box Coffee Shop we tend to congregate here more than anywhere post workout. You'll often find me sat having my fave, an oatmilk cappuccino or an iced coffee with a shot of caramel and an occasional protein ball more often than not served by our very own barista (and General Manager), the lovely Danielle and always with a smile. That said; I was made to feel very welcome by Sam, the coaching team, and all the other Crossfitters during sessions. Being a newbie, they delivered sessions & demonstrated exercises in a clear & safe manner. Everything is scalable, so whether you're new or experienced, there's a challenging workout for you. Within weeks I was making progress on various barbell & gymnastic movements I never thought would be possible. Since starting, I feel noticeably stronger in lifting weights & doing gymnastic movements, like pull ups: (This was, oddly enough, my main goal prior to starting Crossfit, when I couldn't do a single one). Thanks to OL1 my fitness and strength has improved so much and I’ve even made life long friends. Everyone is so friendly. I have now started the mum and baby classes where I can bring my son. Coach Angie is amazing and has given me the confidence to train again after having a baby.

I’ve also done some one on one PT sessions with the coaches and I feel that compared to other gyms I’ve been to they really listen and teach you what you maybe struggling with, their knowledge and understanding compared to other gyms is just second to none. My fitness and mental health has improved significantly since I joined and for me OL1 has changed my life. I recently did a nutrition course where the coaches sat down with me each week over 8 weeks and advised me on my diet and what foods would benefit me to get to the fitness level I desired and that’s been a game changer too, it was a nutrition plan made bespoke to me, my lifestyle and my likes and dislikes with food and I’m now seeing results from all the hard work and effort. I started crossfit at ol1 in June and even though I only attend 3 times per week I really enjoy it. Loads of different workouts from weights to handstands. It's a great friendly "box" and all the coaches help whenever needed.

The community is strong, welcoming and hard working to support others whether it's it with charity work, crossfit competitions or just completing a WOD :). I've known Sam the owner over 20 years and words cannot describe the amount of effort, blood sweat and probably tears to make this the best Box around, whether it be programming the workouts, coaching, support, new equipment, refreshments or whatever you need to enjoy and work hard when your there... The Coaching staff are second to none, there knowledge and support knows no bounds and they work as hard in WODs and day to day coaching as the rest of us... I love it and workouts can be tailored to suit your needs... I have arthritis in my knees, help and advise is always given to aid my needs and to get the best from workouts. I started At Crossfit ol1 this summer. Just coming on Thursday for MetCon to begin with and was soon addicted!! I now come 5 times a week and love every session. I can't believe how I have improved in only a few months .👍🏻 it's all down to the fantastic coaching and the encouragement from all the members. 3 of my children r also addicted. Brilliant atmosphere, very professional it's like working out with a personal trainer. The knowledge shared from all the coaches is astounding. Well recommended .

Moving to a new box is always nervy, getting used to new coaches, facilities and more importantly the members. Crossfit Oldham is brilliant great coaching and atmosphere second to none, the members are welcoming bunch. They train hard but never lose their sense of fun....

OL1 has changed my perception of fitness institutions. The variation and intensity of workouts it excellent. The staff are outstanding and cover a huge array of specialisms, from gymnastics to Olympic lifting. Last but not least, the members are a great bunch and the team ethos is second to none! Whatever you fitness level, whatever your goals, OL1 is the place to progress.

I started in the first week of January, felt really nervous, not very confident but haven't looked back since, 6 weeks in and I'm hooked!!! Haven't met a nicer group of people before and I'm getting stronger and more confident with every session I do! I'd certainly recommend crossfit to ANYONE! Thanks guys!x

Only started about 8 weeks ago and I love it. Excellent training, practices and facilities for people of all abilities. The coaches all know exactly what they're doing and everyone makes you feel really at home. Great job guys!

Been at OL1 since end of October and can't keep away!! The workouts and training are second to none I've ever experienced! The coaches are fantastic and the atmosphere and other members are friendly, like on big family! Lots of events to get involved and support on hand to achieve your goals! #nogoingback

I did my first Ladies only Crossfit session with the trainer Natalie on Monday & it was fab! Already booked onto weeks session.....it was very challenging but lots of fun too! Would highly recommend Crossfit OL1!
