Ok, so listen. I USED to be a member/employee at Goodlife. I USED to be a dancer. I USED to prioritize my health and fitness. I used to do a lot of things for myself. Then came adulthood. And kids. And teens. And menopause. And a million other reasons WHY I no longer cared about ME. So, on came the pounds. And the joint pains. And the muscle aches. And the embarrassment and shame of how lve neglected myself. And the PTSD of my life and the laziness of survival mode.Today, I took my first class. A stretch class. With Christina R. When l tell you that this woman is so warm and friendly, and her space is so calm and judgement free, l mean it! Trust! Im mid 50s, l am 100lbs away from where the textbooks tell me l should be, l dont have the proper attire for workouts. And l dont have the motivation or strength in me to face perfect gym bodies and sparkly 20yr old fitness influencers.This class today was a toe dip. A toe dipped back into the pool l left years ago. Decades ago! And thanks to Christina R and her class today, lm at home 45 mins after the class ended, looking up proper fitness shoes! Im lying in bed doing it, but lm still doing it! Many thanks!
