After aligning my hips where I had some rotation (making my right leg shorter by 1inch) I experienced the ring dinger...so much tension was released that I involuntarily started to cry. My experience was phenomenal. I have had a herniated disc for 2 years, along with retrolisthesis. I’m from Salt Lake City and had over 100 chiropractic visits there, along with over 100 PT visits, and also 5 steroid injections in L5-S1. I was scheduled for surgery next month for an artificial disc replacement, and was told that was my last option to be pain free. But now thanks to Dr. Elahi, I will be avoiding surgery. My nerve pain down the legs is gone, my disc pain is gone, and my overall resting pain is now a 0. When it was previously always at least a 7 before. Can’t recommend him enough, especially if you have a severe back injury, regular chiropractors won’t do the trick! As I’m sure you’ve already found. 10/10 recommend. Update 7 months later. It didn’t last, I am still getting back surgery. I even tried a round of stem cells after this, and it did nothing. I think this works if you live close enough to go consistently, maybe. But if you’re out of state coming out for a 1 time fix, not likely going to last. As I’m sure is the case with many of these out of state people. As I have received 0 messages about how I was actually feeling, just multiple requests in leaving a review. The bedside manner felt like I was at “the joint” chiropractor. He asked a bunch of questions about my pain and injury and offered 0 professional opinions about my recovery options. Just a quick 10 min adjustment before the ring dinger for $300. I paid 3 times the price I’ve paid at other chiropractors who spent an hour doing dedicated hands on adjustments . I’m glad this works for some people, but to me it felt like a waste of money for the service, and his bedside manner was intimidating, he just kept telling me how sore I was going to be , which I’m sure is a liability technique… but it was making me nervous. It's an experience, like a turtle coming out it's shell- one forgets what it is like to be without pain or in dramatically less pain. I don't think any maneuver can decompress the spine like that. I'd wanted to do this for a long time, but had never had the opportunity. So, I was delighted to find that Dr. Elahi had trained under Dr. Johnson, is licensed to perform the technique, and has an office in Dallas. Although I've had chiropractic adjustments performed in the past, I've never experienced anything quite like this! It is as close as you can come to what I'll call a "spinal reset!" The sense of relief, the correction of my posture and my head carriage, the diminishment of related issues (a chronic issue with my shoulder for example), and the improvement to my gait and breathing, were unbelievable, virtually immediate, and have been long lasting. Had a pinched nerve in my back and after the first visit was able to resolve an issue that has been persisting for weeks. Easy scheduling, very knowledgeable doctor, great patient report as he does the initial exam, explains the treatment plan, and performs the corrections.
