This is the second Crossfit gym I have attended regularly. I love the community feeling. The workouts are rewarding and the instructors are diligent about safety and proper form.

My husband and I were looking for a box in the area, so we can continue CrossFit while visiting family, and we loved it! The box is small but well arranged and equipped. Owner Coach Ryan is very personable and knowledgeable. He arranged for us to attend a couple classes for a small drop in fee and made sure to give us all necessary instructions before starting. We loved the workouts that were programmed and felt warmly welcomed by him and the other members. Of all the boxes we have sampled while traveling, this is one of the best, and we are looking forward to come back during our next visits!

I had never really been a workout/gym fan but ever since I signed up to this gym, everything changed. I have been attending this gym for 6 years now and i don't plan on changing that anytime soon. The people, the coaches and the atmosphere here is what really make a huge difference to some one who needs a little push in the right direction.

I was referred to the gym in my middle 40’s. I was overweight, out of shape and dealing with several injuries. A Crossfit gym was not something I was cut out for. The reality is that this is way more than a Crossfit gym. It is a great community of members that are encouraging no matter what level of fitness you are at. A plan was put in place to allow me to focus on improving my health and fitness, while working on recovering from the injuries. Several years later I am still a member and the coaching and training have been instrumental in allowing me to regain a greater level of health, fitness and nutrition. An added benefit is the 6-week fitness and habits challenge we just completed. Lost 16lbs and 4% body fat in just 6 weeks.

I have been CrossFitting since 2012. From Chicago. Nice to be out in the burbs and find a nice friendly gym. Passionate folks, great athletes, all around good times every 5:30am workout. If my family life allowed, I would be here everyday. Happy Lifting!

This place is like a second home for me. The coaches really work with me to make sure that I'm improving my movements so that I can become more flexible and balanced as I work to get stronger. I have met so many wonderful people that I now call my teammates and friends. We encourage each other and look forward to cheering one another on as we go through our workouts. This is definitely the place to check out if you are looking for a great fitness community!

I came to Strongbox when it was crossfit glen ellyn after doing crossfit in the city for many years, and trying out some Groupons at other nearby crossfit gyms. The owner was very responsive and excited to meet, and allowed me to test out of the ramp up program. I’ve been coming to to the 5:30am classes due to work schedule and having young kids. What I found was a great group of like-minded people with similar family situations. I immediately connected, and found a consistent workout group, routine, and accountability. It’s truly something I look forward to, and also necessary to get my mind right for the day ahead. The coaches are great, and not only do they look out for everyone’s goals and safety, but are genuine and make everyone feel like a family. I’m so happy to have found my crossfit family out in the suburbs.

Life changing. Growing up playing sports you think you have a good sense of how to workout/train but I didn't know what I didn't know until coming here. My overall health and fitness is far better at 36 than it was at 26. The 5:30am class is where it's at!!

I was a bit intimidated by the crossfit badge, but thanks to a friend's recommendation I decided to go check it out. My wife and I both went to meet with Mitch (owner) to learn more. We both opted for the Individual Design program, which is personalized training and nutrition coaching based on your specific goals and abilities. After working with Mitch and team for 1.5 years, I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life...and I feel like I'm just getting started. All thanks to Mitch, his team and the community he has built at Strongbox Fitness.
