I paid $3,644 USD upfront in good faith for a full website redesign. Over a year later, I still haven’t received a usable website. The website I was shown contained spelling errors, broken links, missing pages, and poor design quality. This is just to name a few of the problems. Not what I expected for such a high fee.I repeatedly provided detailed notes, images, mockups, and feedback (essentially doing the designer’s job myself). When I tried to part ways early after seeing the initial low-quality mockup, I even offered to still pay for the mockup and the first month of hosting and asked for the balance to be refunded. That reasonable request was refused, and I was pressured to continue.Later, when I finally submitted a detailed feedback document (at their request), I was told my notes were “out of scope”, despite being told earlier to hold off on giving that kind of feedback. After refusing to implement the changes needed to make the website functional and professional, they instead demanded $705 in “hosting fees” for their temporary staging server. From the beginning I made clear I had my own hosting with SiteGround and would only pay the first month of their staging server (which I did). I received no further invoices until now, making this retroactive demand unreasonable.Communication throughout the process was dismissive and unprofessional, often twisting my words or ignoring what I had said.In the end, I am left thousands of dollars out of pocket with no website. I strongly recommend anyone considering working with this business to proceed with extreme caution.I suspect a lot of these positive reviews are fake accounts or friends.I have attached an image of the top of one of the pages that her team considered perfect and finalised and unable to adjust the layout of. This is just one of countless examples.
