The Protocol Strength & Conditioning

I joined The Protocol in April of this year, and my experience - like that of many other members - has been nothing short of incredible. Owner/founder Jerry Trubman is to the gym what Rick Bayless is to the kitchen: professorial in his education, technique, and attention to detail, deeply passionate, and unwavering in his commitment to his team, his members and the sport of strength. The result is a custom experience that members will find nowhere else, and one that ranks The Protocol as one of the best gyms you will find anywhere. Period. The small class sizes allow for very low member-to-instructor ratios, meaning you can expect personalized feedback at every session. The workouts are challenging and varied, and always - always - the instructors work with members to safely accommodate bodies and abilities. As an obese woman who's had her fair share of gym intimidation and frustration, The Protocol meets people exactly where they are, not where they think they should be. All ages, bodies and abilities are welcomed, challenged and celebrated. At a time when many struggle to find their "third place," The Protocol has easily - and happily - become mine. I've experienced a big increase in strength and overall fitness, but my biggest gain? A community of like-minded people that are there to do better, be better. Since joining, I am better. A cardio floor, locker rooms and weight machines are perks at other gyms, and there are plenty of those in the Tucson area. There is only one Protocol. if you're looking for a gym that is low on frills, big on strength and even bigger on heart, your search stops here.
