Great staff. Great program. And extremely knowledgeable staff that focuses on proper form and ensuring beginners (like me) are educated in proper form and technique. I recommend it!
I started at Fit Lab 3 months ago and have to say that this has been my favorite gym experience to date. The coaching is top-notch, the community is very inclusive, and the workouts are always quality. It's been amazing to come workout and feel known and by my classmates, the staff, and the owners. So kudos to them. If you're new to the area and looking for a place to get connected, I'd say this ... More

I started at FitLab with zero experience in olympic lifting/powerlifting/CrossFit. Amazing coaches who help you learn the fundamentals and supportive community (very LGBTQ friendly) who cheer you on along the way. I've been at FitLab for several years now and recommend it for everyone, no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
I got the opportunity to join FitLab after my previous box unexpectedly relocated to a different location. I’ve been at FitLab for 3.5 months and it’s a great place to train. The owners are present and truly care about what you are getting out of the process. The coaches are knowledgeable and run you through proper warm ups prior to strength and conditioning sessions. I just finished doing a 6-week challenge with the folks at South Durham CrossFit and had an amazing experience! My goal was the lose 6% body fat in 6 weeks and I ended up losing 7% body fat and 10 pounds in 5 weeks. I had many misconceptions about CrossFit that initially turned me off to signing up (i.e. its just for meatheads, you do complex movements with no instruction, there isn't any science/thought behind the workout plans), but my experience with the program, the people who were members, and the instructors couldn't be further from my initial thoughts. An extreme amount of thought and care went into designing the program. The meal plan, workouts, coaching and social support were expertly woven together to make for a seamless experience. It addressed every pitfall one might encounter when starting a new fitness program (sticking to a meal plan, meal prepping, losing motivation, stress) and made it as easy as possible to succeed. The members there were great. They were encouraging and friendly. Almost everyone I worked out with came up and introduced themselves to me, and were very helpful if I needed advice on a movement or was struggling with a workout. The coaches were experts. A special shout out to Amy Depolo and Jason Carley who I trained with most frequently during my challenge. Both were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and motivating. Both great as coaches and people you would want to grab a beer with after class. Overall I give the program an A+ and would encourage anyone who is looking to transform there body and commit to the program to join South Durham Crossfit. Less
I had a remarkable experience doing the 6 week challenge. The trainers here are really great at creating a supportive environment where you can improve and accomplish your goals. Great vibe, super friendly people and the coaches are really good at encouraging you. Like a lot of people I joined a gym in January and I have no regrets!
This low-pressure, low-intimidation, high-encouragement community is just what I needed! If you’re in the 54/Fayetteville area and want coaches who support and teach you, know your name, and listen to you, you need to check out SoDu CF.
The trainers are knowledgeable and can accommodate individual challenges. Everyone wins regardless of their exercise level.
They will work your tail. So if you really want to get fit come join us.
Signed up for South Durham CrossFit 6 week challenge and loved my first class. Great group of people and really awesome staff and ownership.
I can't say enough positive things about Southpoint Crossfit - great coaches that are extremely supportive and the community of people that are all welcoming and fun to spend time with. Everyone is always so positive and you can't help but look forward to working out together.
SPCF is a very fun and supportive environment! I always look forward to going. It's been a lot of hard work but so worth it to see all of the goals that I have accomplished over the past year:)
I came to SPCF ~9-months ago (via a groupon) with a background in endurance sports, but absolutely no previous experience with crossfit or power/olympic lifting. The coaches at SPCF are outstanding - each has advanced training and certification, but more importantly a strong commitment to teaching good technique, promoting safety, and providing encouragement. The gym (box) is extremely friendly, not intimidating at all, with a great mix of participant skill/experience levels. The class sizes are small (max 12) allowing for personalized coaching and I feel like I still learn something new every day. The perfect choice for anyone looking for a new challenge in a fun, supportive environment. Less
Going to workout at Southpoint is something that I always look forward to! The coaching is amazing, the people are so friendly and helpful...it's nice to workout in a place where everyone genuinely gets excited when you succeed!! I have been going to Southpoint for 2 years, and honestly it's one of the best decisions that I have made!

Bea and Rich have fixed this issue by offering a wide range of classes and coaches that can cater to those looking to lose weight, refine their Olympic lifts, or become a serious competitor. You are able to focus on your goals and gain motivation from the rest of the members without feeling like you are alone. But all of this is nothing if the gym, members, and coaches are not approachable and welcoming. That was the first thing I noticed about the gym and haven't looked back. With a focus on not only training hard but also doing things together outside of the gym it offers a community and support that is missing from some of the other boxes. Highly recommended to anyone looking to start their journey or to finally accomplish what you've been meaning to for years. Less
Been a member for the past 2 years and I love it. I love the coaches, my classmates, the workouts, even the way a feel afterwards. Great people, great workout! All levels welcomed and given expert training.
I have been a member at Southpoint for almost two years. It is an excellent gym with small classes and highly knowledgeable classes. Not to mention the other members are wonderful and help create a fun, positive and welcoming environment. You'll see improvements in all levels of your fitness regardless of where you start from. You won't regret checking this gym out!
Love it!
The workouts are tough, but the people make it fun!
Great 1st impression
Great first day!
Coach Bea is incredibly approachable, compassionate, and helpful. She also is a phenomenal teacher! Her clients will be so lucky to have her. I know Southpoint CrossFit will be an awesome box.
This gym will have a great head coach and owner
Only a bike ride away from our house in Durham...even better, Bea will be there!
